Ebay Question from JJ Board

im selling something on ebay and a guy has emailed me asking:

"Hi, what would you take to close now ?."

if i do end early and sell the item to this person im not covered by ebay am i?

i never trust people who do this.

anyone had similar?

I've not had that before, but i imagine it'll mess thimgs right up as EBay have a contract with you for the item to be sold through their website, basically if that guy buys it from you then ebay can demand you sell another item to the successful bidder from their site

the item doesnt have any bids on it at the moment

not quite a bribe. he just wants to get the item beofre anyone else

Can you add a BuyItNow option to the listing? You could put his offer on, and seee if he takes it.

Personally, I've never closed an auction early, and have always exceeded the offer price anyway.

DO NOT end it early....its not right etiquette to do stuff like that as a seller....., if they want it they can bloody wait! :S

BuyItNow costs more though doesn't it? I'd stick it out and you'll probs get more money anyway

Yep, another reason why I've never used it.

I also tend to avoid BuyItNow purchases. It justs tends to make me more wary and its a trick to make me buy more on impulse :?
