Neuro Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 I'm fascinated by his reference to the height of Rave era in 1988/89 upon which things turned sour for the participants of such events, which it has to be said were very significant in the progression and acceptance of dance music. Apparently to begin with the organizers were making some serious money by the bagful; dance music also made an unprecedented mark in the charts. However by the tail-end of 1989 I think things were getting a bit tough for the rave organizers, with the whole drug-taking image and of course pressure of conforming to criminal gangs even as the events were being planned. It's something I'd like to learn more about... Quote

Chrissie Brown Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 I have to confess that l absolutely loved "It's a Sin" and first heard it when l was on holiday at Butlins (of all places) and it sounded amazing. I kept asking the DJ to play it. Also "Frankie goes to Hollywood" Quote
