Anyone else go to this?

In general it was a good night but boy was it busy. I guess you'd expect that considering Tiesto was headlining.

It took an eternity to get in even on the ticket cue. The doormen at Gods are A-class w****ers! The guy that searched me asked me firstly "if I was scared?" "No mate, im just pissing cold from stood outside for 30min" I replied. He then complemented me on "Having a tight ass". Jesus christ, I was sure glad to get past that wierdo :? .

I guess because it was part of Tiesto's 'In Search of Sunrise' tour the warm-up DJ (Paul Thomas) was supposed to keep it down a notch so that Tiesto could start with the more melodic tracks off his album?

He was basically playing tough house. I reckon Jon O'bir would have done a better job as the tracks Paul T was playing didnt exactly get me in the mood.

Tiesto was pretty good with Rui Da Silva 'Touch me' 'Flight 643' and 'Chasing cars' getting the best reactions.

To be honest I actually prefered Mark Eteson's set as all the chavs had cleared out and the temperature dropped a few degrees as a result. He played the better tracks too. Tiesto kindly nicked 30 min off Mark's set so he and Jon O'bir had 15min less.

Jon O'bir was pretty good also and finished the night with 'Urban Train' (well half of it as the auto-cut on the power kicked in) :x .

Tracklist looks average, according to PT he was asked by Gods to just go in the main room & play his usual style of house music, Tiesto definately wanted to play a more housey opening so Paul should have been ok to kick things off.
