Myself included, I believe there a few Eddie Halliwell fans amongst us on this board. I have just come across this set & thought I'd upload and share it for everyone.

A very trancey and uplifting set with loads of scratching and EFX :) There are certainly a few familiar tracks in there. I think this is from Poland back in July this year...

I found a link of Jules board with some photo's and a write up here....

Taken from the TranceAddict site here is a tracklist... I ain't managed to listen to it all yet, but perhaps we can try ID em :)

Vol.5 - Eddie Halliwell:

01. Greg Downey - Vivid Intent (Rework)

02. O`callaghan & Kearney - Exactly (Original Mix)

03. Giuseppe Ottaviani - Through Your Eyes (Original Mix)

04. Seb B - Mass Noise (Sean Tyas Rework)

05. ID

06. ID

07. Mainx - 88 To Piano (Fabio Stein Remix) id'd by me...:)

08. 4 Strings - Take Me Away (Eddie Halliwell's Fancy Fair 2006 Mashup)

10. Mystery - Out of the Past (Fred Baker & Vincent Gorczak Remix)

11. Deep Voices - Imagenetic (Mac Zimms Remix)

That part of the tracklist is identical to Eddie's guets mix on Jules's show at Escape Into The Park. I'd be very disappointed if Eddie has "cloned" that set at a later date - he'd seriously go down in my estimation if that was the case.

Is there any chance that this could be Eddie's Escape Into The Park set? (only 30 minutes was aired on Radio 1, but Eddie played past 9pm at the actual event)

Have you checked it out mate? I agree, yes, it is rather similar, but I don't think it is.

There is a long session of scratching right in @ 1min30, which I'm sure he dint do @ swansea.

Loving this mix - his effort on 4 strings is awesome too...

Track 05 is:

Oliver Giacomotto & Stephane Signore - 800km

The first 5 tracks are identical to his set at Escape Into The Park but I don't understand the criticism DJs seem to get for playing a similar set in different clubs. The sets may have been recorded in both but the DJ's priority is to play to the punters and to create a great atmosphere. Eddie obviously feels that these tracks work well together. Considering the events were in different countries and only just over a month apart, personally I don't see anything wrong in doing this. Armin also seems to get this criticism a lot which I feel is unjustified.

Also, it's not his EITP set as I've had a listen to the recording I have and compared it to the Sunrise set and there is a lot more effects used in the latter.

I kind of agree in a way mate. Yes, they do work very well together, i'll give him that, and yes, they were in different countries - therefore, a different crowd, so the chances of the same people hearing it are next to nil.

However, these DJ's are, supposedly, the world's elite, so they should be able to come up with top notch mixes with complementing tunes "on the fly" at most gigs. They get paid a substancial amount of money to be in a position that very few people get the chance to be in. They're supposedly the worlds elite because they should have that little something extra that many of us haven't got - and thats why I think having set pieces of 4 or 5 tracks together is wrong. Any one of us could find tunes that go together extremely well and use it as a set-piece to make us stand out from other DJ's - but we could only do it for so long before being sussed out or criticised for it. 4 or 5 tunes is quite a lot of set time, and on the salary that these DJ's are on, its probably the equivalent of £500-£600 worth of music - a lot of money for doing something "pre-rehearsed" when Fred Bloggs in some little bar is doing a top job "on the fly" getting no more than a few freebie drinks for his efforts.

There's nothing wrong with a few set-pieces of say 2 or 3 tunes to do occasionally (I think we all have a tune that we like to mix with another because they go sooo well) - but half a set of something pre-rehearsed whilst earning a healthy sum of cash for it, in my opinion, is wrong. Its basically a DJ's way of saying "I know this works so i'll play it safe by doing it again to get good feedback", rather than taking a live gamble that doesn't pay off and getting negative feedback for it. I'd like to think that when i'm paying £15+ to get into a club, i'm paying it to see a DJ that is doing something new, live, there and then - not something he tried a week earlier, somewhere else.

The [sic.] you refer to should apply to "similiar", and not vein.

Just being a picky  -- Have you tired any of Yoji Biomehanika's crazy banging stuff?
