Gregg
try all the free spyware removers until you get rid of it. no spyware remover recognises ALL spyware. keep trying different ones till it goes.
Neuro
That's a good idea - use Windows Defender as well, that's free. Make sure you update the software mate by downloading new definitions, like you do with your antivirus software, or else it's useless
Wakey
We bought quite a good spyware remover, about 20 notes from PC world, sorted my brother's computer out good and proper!
Simcut
Go find "Dr. Delete" and open it, then browse to the folder with that .tmp file in and delete it from there. Dr. Delete operates when you next reboot and deletes the file then, stopping it from loading itself again. I would also check your startup list to see if there's anything dodgy, to do this do the following! 1) go to start menu -> run 2) type in 'msconfig' 3) go to the "startup items" tab and read the locations and files there..... 4) Untick any that look a bit suspect to you....be careful what u untick tho.... I would suggest doing a screen dump and posting it here..... If you need anymore advice gimme a shout
Chrissie Brown
Out of curiousity l've just had a look at my "start up" items and have to say l haven't a clue what's good or bad. Quess there's no point in changing anything if everythings running ok. However if l do get a problem its nice to know l can get help from one of you clever guys. TheSaint
this is a classic XP trick. Disable all and then if stuff breaks and you need it, turn it back on. Most of it is Adobe crap, mouse crap, AV crap, bluetooth crap, wireless crap blah blah blah if its needed by the system it will start it anyway

Simcut
I'll do a proper post in a few minutes for you. To do a screen dump you press the alt key, hold it down and then press the print screen key which is located at the top of the keyboard aligned with the arrow keys. You then go into an image viewing program on your PC (maybe Paint?) and Paste in there. Then save it as preferably a JPG file format
