PFA senior and young player of the year. Enough said. A double whammy as Chelsea drew with Newcastle!! Wahoo!

I think Man U would have been under a lot more pressure if they'd won as the title would have been their to loose rather than ours to win (if you get that??). Three points difference means we can loose to then at the Bridge and will still win on our superior goal difference (currently 14!!).

Its not all doom and gloom. I think Tuesday will be a massive test as we are without Rio and Vidic for Milan at Old Trafford. A clean sheet is a must in this game.

Deffo - Milan is gona be a critical match!

Bit of an injury crisis and hopefully we must not loose points like Chelsea did over Xmas just gone because of their injuries. Was a relief to see Chelsea also drew today.

Stil gona be tough though, we got two away matches now and Chelsea got 2 home (i think).

I can't believe Christian Ronaldo is being compared to greats like Pele and George Best. Ronaldo is a one-trick pony. 245,000 step-overs a match before finally realising he's got 10 other players to pass the ball too.

He's not a great - he's just a cocky s*** that thinks he's gods gift to the Premier League. If you take away his step-overs, he doesn't have a lot to his game.

Briggsy, I tend to disagree. That was my view last year, but this year he has been sensational and instrumental in Man United's success (so far!).

I agree in that he's bene a big part of their success this year, but he is very predictable isn't he? Leg it down the wing, do a few step-overs to trick the defender, catch the defender out, leg it past him, and then cut inside to take a shot. He just does it all so quick! Once he loses some of his speed and reactions in a few years time, he'll just be Joe Average again. Steve McManaman played in a similar style - didn't really offer much as a team player, but was a good individual skillwise (he also did 345,000 step-overs per match). As soon as his legs and reactions went, he struggled.

Great players can change their game as they get older, and they also prove themselves year in, year out. Ronaldo has bene around for a few years now, but this is the only season he's really played a big part. if he does it again next year, and the year after, then fair enough - but i'm not convinced just yet.

If anyone is a "great" at Man Utd, then i'd have to choose Giggs over Ronaldo. Giggs has done it for over ten years now, and is still going strong. He's versatile, and he's changed his game slightly over the last couple of seasons to make up for the pace he's lost.

Nah I disagree too, only now though - I would've agreed with you last season:)

He tends to use that stepover a fair bit you can fairly say, but as Simmy said this season he has become all rounder player. He is just like Bex in a way that he has provided many many assists if not goals. His presence in the side gives United a morale boost!

Also did you see the match, United vs World All stars recenly for charity, he demonstrated so many skills there in exhibition stylee. Certainly challenge Ronaldhino (who united should've bought too, if they wernt so tite for money, think he might be up for sale end of the spanish league) IMO :)

World Class player, simple as, imo.

This year he's been the finest player in the league and rightfully go the awards to go with it, I first thought he was over-rated but he's matured a lot & while the tricks are still there he has added a lot more to his game, his shooting has improved a lot (20 odd goals this year) & his distribution is much better, oh yeh & he's still only 21

Side note, it was great (& thoroughly deserved) to see Matt Murray (the best English goalkeeper of the moment) getting the nod for the Championship team of the year, just an absolute joke that Kightly didn't get in aswell

I went to this match. Was seriously lacking in atmosphere as the game didnt really have any meaning i.e. if we lost, so what? Probably the worst atmosphere I've ever experiencedat Old Trafford. The highlight of the night was defo Becks coming on at half time to thank Man U fans for supporting him through his bad times. Pretty cool having Andy Cole playing for us that night too.

Some bloke behind me was ripping into Larsson! Just after he'd left us and he was making a run through the centre (towards Vidic I think) and the bloke goes "Hack him down, snap his legs. He's not a Man U player now!!" A bit harsh but funny on the night.

Good to see Dong getting a run-out. I think this boy has big poential for the future and although people say he's been purchased for his far east marketing potential, I think Fergie knows his potential. Look at his goal ratio at Royal Antwerp. Its prolific.

Shame Ronaldhino couldnt play in this game. There were some odd inclusions i.e. Diouf (who scored twice the spitting scumbag). Becks was injured after running into an advertising board :wall:

I've always rated Murray highly from the very first day he stepped in goal for us. He always looked good back in the youth team when it was out of him and Justin Bray to get the nod for a professional contract.

Its a shame he never got the opportunity to play in the Premiership with us, because he was veyr much a key part in us being promoted - and if it hadn't been for him, we might not have made it.

I was amazed when there were rumours that Glenn Hoddle wanted to get rid of him - although nothing surprises me with that plank.

I hope he remains a key part of the squad, and we don't sell him to raise some cash. I dread the day when Michael Oakes steps back in goal. He was awful at Villa, and he's awful for us. He never looks like he can be bothered - apart for 5 games after he's won his place back to just to make a point. As for when someone takes a penalty against him - don't even get me started on that

This interview of Ronnie always makes me laugh. Its the one after the FA cup game against Middlesborough where Woodgate fouled him and conceeded a costly penalty. Probably not advisable for non-ronaldo fans to watch as it'll probably just make you hate him even more.

If you have time to look, there's a video in there called 'Knocked down'. Its hilarious. Clip after clip of defenders trying to take him on and either getting it wrong and hacking him down or just getting frustrated and hacking him.
