Uberduck
I'm considering selling my 1210's and vinyl . This isn't forced upon me by financial needs but simply as I feel they dont really get the use to warrant keeping them. Its also a a means of freeing a bit of space as we all know the bulky akward nature of vinyl (especially when you come to move house). I guess a few of you have already made this step so I was hoping to get a bit of advice. I have been doing a bit of research on eBay and it seems most [sets of decks] are going for around the £500 mark. Do you reckon thats a reasonable figure? Also have any of you disposed of large numbers of vinyl through eBay. It seems a total ball-ache trying to get rid of your vinyl by selling them individually but I guess people aren't going to want to buy the lot as it'd contain lots of tracks they dont want/already have. Max Kane
I sold some vinyl thru ebay & it's ok in terms of getting good prices but a pain in the arse to list & then have to wait for your money etc, if you really wana sell a job lot is the easiest way but i definately recommend advertising them on forums (particularly this one) as you can deal direct so to speak. I've sold a few records to various forum members & its been very easy As regards selling decks I wouldn't know to be honest mate, I've got no plans to sell mine or transfer totally to digital just yet, I buy 100% digital music now but have so many vinyl tracks that I need to keep my decks. The amount I would get for them wouldn't make it worthwhile for me, but if you're talking £500 it could be a good bit of business providing you can get that much
Neuro
Don't you dare sell your vinyl off cheaply just to get rid of it before listing it on here! I'll be with a new student loan come October and might well be willing to splash some cash Good luck with the sell mate.

JasonB
The trouble with ebay is its bene ruined over the past few years by what I call the ebay boom, basically everyone jumping on there and as a result s***loads of everything being sold hence prices going down quite a bit and maybe a lot of stuff being unsold. So unless theres anything really rare or owt in yer vinyl collection dont expect too much for stuff wher theers already 500 copies of already on ebay, bundles is porbably the ebst way to do things. I do urge you to see if anyof us lot are interested before trying ebay to sell them (i say loast resort bundles). Also how the hell have I of all people managed to have the most amount of posts? 3,939!!!! I talk such tripe!

Uberduck
Ha, ha. Thats a bit of an elaborate dog bowl isn't it? Jesus you'd be scared of putting dog food in that incase you got it dirty . Reckon thats the sort of bowl the Queens Corgies eat out of.
