Max Kane Posted August 22, 2007 Report Share Posted August 22, 2007 I'm at work so won't be tuning in until later, can't say I'm too fussed to be honest, the way in which players pull out when carrying the slightest knock has ridiculed England friendlies, it seems it's no longer an honour to represent your country. Idiot! I had a great seat as well... As it happens I'm back in Salamanca again, my second home to do a couple of exams tomorrow, but I'll get my bar mates in my local bar here to put the game on the big screen - we better win as I have a long-standing bet with a German girl that I definitely want to cash in on! Its a reasonable game so far. Micah Richards is putting in another sterling performance. Lampards goal was pretty good. Its interesting to see the setup minus Gerrard. Lampard is playing well, which has been questionable in the past few games. Maybe this is further evidence for the Gerrard/Lampard debate :confused: . Neuro Posted August 23, 2007 Report Share Posted August 23, 2007 Couldn't watch the match as it wasn't available on any PPV or spanish channels here (modding your connection to obtain Sky here is illegal, they only have Canal+ brand). Greece lost to Spain 3-2 at home in the very last seconds of the game having led throughout, excellent match to watch but one of the worst pitches I've ever seen! Although the whole play in how poor our punctuation is these days - e.g. the definition of what a panda does can be completely changed just by putting a comma in the wrong place, hence: Panda: Eats shoots and leaves. [as in, pandas eat those two plants, "leaves" obviously being the plural of "leaf"] Panda: Eats, shoots and leaves. [extra comma implies that Pandas normally fire a weapon after eating, then physcially leave the scene] Don't wanna spoil your joke though, Craig - loved it!!
