HTFR - Free 10% off code

Another damn catalogue came through this morning from our friends at HTFR.

"Hey Tim!

What's going on? It seems like ages since you bought from us. We're getting a bit concerned"...

Yes, well, to tempt me back (and no doubt, about 2 million others), if you purchase any vinyl or DJ equipment from them before 29th October, they'll slice off 10% of the price. Now, I'm unlikely to do this but those of you with something in mind anyway might actually save something, so the code to use is:

HTFRMISSME0907

If any of you have got a catalogue this morning too, and perhaps have different codes, please fell free to post them up here too. After all, we don't want anybody missing out... :)

Even with 10% off, they're still 15% more expensive than everywhere else - plus the fact that you have to wait several years before your parcel actually turns up with different remixes to those that you ordered.

Unless they send me a voucher that says "We'll let you have tunes for the same price as Juno, we'll deliver in 24 hours, and we'll match Sapphires for hardware prices", then i'm not interested in them at all.

I hate the shop, I hate their staff, and I hate everything about the place.

Surely they can't have that many vinyl customers anyway now?

you beat me to it Briggsy. That said i dont hate their staff, there used to be a lad there who was a alright, he'd hold back some tunes for me back in t'day. Mind you that was 7 years ago... I dont know what their staff are like these days.

I dont hate EVERYTHING about the place, i mean, i think they do have a nice decor.

I moved out of my house but my dad forwards them onto me!! Aaarghhhh, they're following me. I'm going to have to change my identity :ninja:

I think I'd rather walk across a minefield wearing those stupid oversized clown shoes, purposely stamping and jumping up and down than buy records from HTFR.

We're only very biased because we've all purchased from them and has something gone wrong every time! Or they've arrived in poor condition, when you thought you'd purchased a new copy, not someone else's who's dragged the needle all over it.

Maybe they've bucked their ideas up in the last few years? We don't know because no-one has gone back!

I personally have a problem with their "wish list" feature, where you can sign up for an email alert for an 'out of stock' item as soon as it come back into stock... the problem being that in fact they place you in a queue, which you only find out after you've signed up. This means, for example, that if you're the 75th person to add an item to your wish list because it is out of stock, then if 4 of them arrive through some generous donator years later, meaning they're back in stock, only the first 4 people who added to their wish list first will be informed, meaning the others miss out.

In any case, of course, its so long something comes back in stock that people have either forgotten they were customers of HTFR or found it on Juno for cheaper. :)
