Uberduck
I couldn't believe when I heard on the news today that on average somebody puts the wrong fuel into their car every 3.5 minutes! That is absolutely amazing. It gave the likely reasons as people change cars more often and hence forget which one they're driving and also that diesels are quiet compared to those of the past and hence people forget. Jesus wept . What sort of numpty would get confused about the car they're driving. Most modern cars actually say on the fuel cap or inside the flap what fuel they take. Has anyone on here had any fuel nightmares? The cost of fixing it if you drive to the point where it cuts out is huge.

Neuro
If you put diesel in a non-diesel car or vice-versa then you really screw the engine up - it costs hundreds to get it drained!
