Briggsy
Shame! Oh well, Oakie would have been oblivious as to how many people were there anyway - he couldn't see them due to his hair being in the way
Moonman
done by Westwood too! harsh.
Briggsy
Yeah, Westwood had 53. 52 of those were bouncers
Max Kane
That is pretty funny, but the Uni were asking for it, I mean who wants to go see a primadona over-the-hill washed up has-been DJ when they can go to Freshers & get smashed for a bout 20p? Briggsy
I wouldn't see Oakie any more even if I was paid to see him. The only way i'll see him again is if he appears on the same line-up as other DJ's i'm going to see (such as next month when I go to Turnmills to see Richard Durand and Barry Connell). He can't be bothered to mix any more, and the last three times i've seen him, he's played practically the same set (seriously!). Fred Baker - Total Blackout, Grace - Not Over Yet, Planet Perfecto - Bullet In The Gun... Its tedious! We've heard him play those time and time again, and he still expects us to pay £25+ to go to see him?? There are far better DJ's playing in their bedrooms that don't earn a single penny for the privelage, while Oakie puts in a lazy, half-hearted performance for £10,000! Briggsy
Oakie in chealsea shirt i see After all the years Oakie has been charging his stupendous DJ fee, I should think he's almost as wealthy as Abramovich. Now that he's used to playing for 52 people, perhaps he could do a private Xmas gig for the Chelsea team - they've got around 52 squad players haven't they? Neuro
Well Oakie's set clashed with Tim Westwood, which was a sell-out, and they couldn't change the publicised times. What I want to know is why nearly every one of the 700 Freshers all decided to see Westwood over a(n albeit ageing) dance act? Edit// As I listen to Wakey's radio show on Livewire 1350, I hear he is going to London to see Westwood!!
