Briggsy Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Well, tell us how your day has been - did anyone recieve anything they didn't expect? Flowers from people they didn't expect? Lovely-dovey texts from someone you didn't know fancied you? Did anyone propose to you? Did you propose to anyone? Perhaps you were sent a dead rat in the post, or recieved death threats? (Who knows, you may have a psycho ex like Heather Mills!). Did you get lots of card? My postman must have head a hernia this morning because he brought me loads of bills. I had a gas bill from British Gas, a phone bill from BT, and an electric bill from Powergen. Sorry about the big gap by the way - my return key got stuck Quote
Max Kane Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Was tempted to actually make some kind of effort this year, then my apathy took over & I bottled it. Never really cared for Valentines anyway Quote
bigsteve Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Commercialism gone crazy. We don't bother with it at all. I'd much rather go out for a decent meal on Saturday lunchtime and take my time over it, without sitting closer to the person at the table next to me than the person across from me, pay double the price for the priviledge and be rushed out of the door. Uberduck Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Trust quadders to come up with a daft picture. I don't have a girlfriend so have nobody to splash my cash on :boohoo: . Seriously though, valentines day is all about the money spending. Some guy at work told me his mate spent £55 on a bunch of flowers!! Thats mental. I'd expect a metre square patch of the garden of Eden for that amount!! Quote
Briggsy Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 I don't have a girlfriend so have nobody to splash my cash on :boohoo: You're more than welcome to send me some cash - I don't mind at all! Quote
Uberduck Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 You're more than welcome to send me some cash - I don't mind at all! Is that an offer of date? Quote
Quadrant Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Maybe we can set up a homosexual gathering in a castle somewhere. So Uber and Briggsy are up for it. Where's Bjorn? Quote
Uberduck Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Sorry Quadders but castles are a bit of a turn off for me. I'd much prefer a Premier Travel Inn or a cave! On the subject of Premier Travel Inn's; has anyone seen the Lenny Henry advert? That makes me cringe. Like visiting a Travel Inn would cheer you up!! Quote
Quadrant Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 (edited) No no sir, you're not getting out of this one so easily, old chap Hey, and what's wrong with castles anyway? They're magnificent buildings with glorious bedrooms... Edited February 17, 2008 by Quadrant Quote
