Briggsy
OK, i'm obviously missing the point here because everyone rave son about how good this bloke is as a DJ, but I find him mind-numbingly boring. The stuff he plays barely classes as music - its just a 134bpm bassline with lots of bleeps, swooshes and, if you're really lucky, you might just get a snare drum now and again. At Global Last year, everyone was talking about how good his set was while he was playing. What made me chuckle was the huge sofa at the back of the tent that everyone was sitting on while he was playing. Quite ironic really! If it had bene any more boring,a bed would have bene more appropriate. So what does everyone see in a DJ that plays music which sounds like a car alarm going off over a bassline? I'm open to most dance music - but Eric Prydz's nonsense barely qualifies as music.
JasonB
Prydz was goodbut the past year, finding his stuff boring.
Max Kane
I rate him very highly, production wise he's magnificent. His sound is a niche I guess, those that like him are very enthusiastic & those that don't like him don't seem to get it, happens with a lot of DJs, just that Prydz popularity seems to have increased the hype surrounding him
Bjorn
This man is a musical wizard, his production skill are some of the best i nthe world - Cirez D & Pryda - jeeeez!!! Its one of those things i think mate - just not your thing abviously! By the way - Tom, have u heard 'Pjanoo' yet? immense tune!!
Ducky
Yeah im not really digging it tbh, i dont really see what all the fuss is about his Sets etc, but everyone is different. I did like Cirez D - Teaser though, EDDIE HAMMERED IT!!
Judge Mental
Only ever seen him at Pacha in Ibiza, and had a cracking time, even though is style isn't really up my alley so to speak. His productions are really tight even if I don't like most of it lol, and some cirez d stuff is brilliant. And yes, as you guessed, I like music with car alarms and swooshes with the occasional snare drum, but 134bpm is too fast Saying that I was at weird night last night that had hardcore, gabba, speedcore, and whatever else they call it, and had a brilliant time Just went for a laugh, and 'speedcore' had everything, the guy was playing hip hop and scratching and the music changed direction every 30 secs Brilliant fun!!! Moonman
i think he's a good producer and dj too. Dare i say it though, i prefer his more chunkier house productions...The shapeshifter remix he did, Call On Me (hit me with the slating) etc etc
Briggsy
I'm not slating - I agree! They may have been commercial, but at least they had some kind of tune to them. That rubbish he plays in his sets barely qualifies as music. It just boring, unimaginitive, 132 bpm, plinky-plonky beeps. Dance music is meant to be danced too - how anyone can dance to that kind of music is beyond me.

Paolo Mojo '1983' (Eric Prydz Remix) Pryda 'Frankfurt' Pryda 'Aftermath' Pryda 'Muranyi' Pryda 'Pjanno' Pryda 'Madderferrys' All of those listed are immense, it's not something you can start going nuts to, but then it's not intended to be that way, the breakdown in '1983' is absolute class & as such is established as one of my favourite tracks, full stop. This man speaks the truth. I really would have thought you would appreciate Pryda productions Briggsy as many of them contain euphoric elements of trance - especially Muryani, Madderferrys & Pjanoo! Very uplifting house, really uplifting!! Proper amazing tunes the lot of them - definately one of my fav producers. Roll on the release of pjanoo, dying for it!! Bjorn
Beatport mate, came out yesterday Listed as Eric Prydz 'Pjanoo' though yup, i literally just noticed it on bp!! Was just coming back on here to correct myself! Will buy that tonight, woo! Have u ever noticed how a lot of the pryda tunes are still at the promo price of £1.99 on bp? Wierd ey! Yeh, tis annoying but can see why. So many people will continue to buy the older Pryda tracks regardless of how long ago they were released. Guess beatport has no need to reduce them. On a side note has anyone else noticed how audiojelly have slyly cranked up their prices lately, everything seems to be £1.45 now instead of the usual £1.
Bjorn
Yeh exactly right i'd guess tom - i see Muryani & Europa are both hovering in the top 100 electro chart so are still selling very well I played Muryani last sat at the after party to Plug, the club went mental lol! Max Kane
Muranyi is excellent, really love how simple the riff it is. I'd still say the remix of '1983' is my favourite Prydz/Pryda production though 'Aftermath' & 'Frankfurt' are close
Chrissie Brown
I like most of the tunes he has done recently especially "Muryani" and "Pijanoo".
