simonross46
When you say clicking and dragging C to D .... are you doing this to the contents of the hard-dirve or on the icon for the hard-drive itself?
Briggsy
My suspicions are that its one hard drive partitioned as two - i'm 99.9% certain of it. A lot of laptops come with a factory-restore option - and these files are stored on a partition. The reason you can't move them is because they're 'locked' on that partition - because if they're moved, your laptop won't be able to see the files should you ever need to do a factory restore. Why do you need to clear space on that partition anyway if there's space on the other partition?

simonross46
I suggest you cut and paste some of the less/more important items within the full hard-drive to the empty one (the 'My Music' folder for example). There should be no reason why that wont work. Iuse an external hard-drive alongside the standard internal hard-drive and I can move items around with ease. Quadrant
Hello sir, buy yourself an external hard drive bad boy for £75 and transfer it all over to that instead. Job's a good'un.
