Number2Fan
What does your phone sound like? I only ask because I specifically made some Gene Hunt Ringtones, anyway, turned out my kids kept swearing whenever I got a message so I had to change them, can't be having a two year old girl saying "armed bastards" !!! Shame but better in the long run as now I have some excellent ringtones I have made from Trance classics! In Audacity. The beepy bit from Ayla as message alert and some other bits and bobs. Currently enjoying the breakdown of Carte Blanche whenever I get a random call!!!
Max Kane
I just use a usb port on my phone to hook it into the comp & then select any of the tracks I have saved as my ringtone. Currently it's Dirty Pretty Things 'Last of the Small Town Playboys'
Number2Fan
Yeah I can do that now, as my phone is my MP3 player, but as a ringtones I only wanted certain sections of tunes tbh. I love it! Otherwise you just get a touch of the intro when you get a call!
JasonB
I dont do ringtones as they all annoy me so silent and vibrate is the way.
Number2Fan
I'm brand new to ringtones last time I got involved in ringtones was when you could program in keys to make it play dance tunes out of mixmag!!! Darude - Sandstorm was an easy one to do. How could Tauchers mix of Aylas breakdown be annoying EVER? Vibrating phones aren't silent either are they, they just sound wierd! simonross46
Yeah it's silent mode for me too, problem is when I'm in a busy area and someone tries to ring me I am totally unaware of it happening. When somewhere quiet though the last thing you want is for your ringtone to be blurting out and everyone sees you panicing as you reach for yours pockets
Number2Fan
Exactly!!! But if you had the ringtones I've made for my phone, the only problem you'd have is you wouldn't wanna answer coz that would mean the music ending!!! Judge Mental
Youtube Video -> Is mine. Think it works pretty well as a ringtone.
Max Kane
I chose my ringtone solely on the basis that it's got a big loud guitar riff at the start & no-one else seems to have it. My old one was Johnny Cash 'Ring of Fire', that always went down well when my phone rang in the pub
simonross46
My mate is a punk rocker and he has the funniest ringtone ever ... its just anormal punk song but then the lead singer screams for about 30 seconds flat out. Whenever someone calls him we just hold the phone out and listen

Moonman
i have the Starship Enterprise tannoy alert from Star Trek. But then i'm a geeky Trekkie.
Briggsy
My phone is on silent 24/7 365. People think i'm a bit odd for it, but its a pain in the arse constantly swapping between silent and ringing each time i go to and from work - so I just stick to silent. The odd thing is, i've got this weird flukey habit of pulling the phone out of my pocket just as someone is ringing me - so I rarely miss calls. Very odd! Wakey
Mine's on silent most of the time, like Briggsy says I can't be bothered to switch between the two! The ringtone on it though is Mr G - Naughty Girl. If you've watched Summer Heights High you'll known exactly what I'm on about!
Number2Fan
LOL I'm disappointed in Wakey and Briggsy, I never put my phone on silent, i just turn it off and on!!
Wakey
I have it on me at work and just keep in on silent then never remember to put it back on to general setting.
