And as you've seen the people who provided the audio like some gratitude!

Dunno if that's sarcasm or not (no smiley's present) but yeah, anyone that provides the audio should have a right to want some gratitude for the time and effort they've put in :-)

No I was being serious but in a joking fashion.

They should come back and at least say "cheers" if nothing else.

:)

Smiley present here. Although I do again mean what I said.

I love the audio on this site, just the other day I put onto CD something i only had on used tape before and I love it.

Makes this the greatest Website on earth! IMO! -_-

I am certain there's more audio the admins are hiding from us? Can someone come clean with some stats please?

Sir Simcut, I count you in this because I reckon your 2-hour tape fests form the backbone of the very best audio possible. Have you any tapes left? :(

Yeah, thing is each tape probably takes about 3/3.5 hours of my day....so its a bit of a pain in the arse.....but I love doing the tapes, I've probably done about 30% of the tapes i have so far.... I have lots of friday shows left and not to mention saturday ones! but all the sat shows recordings are 90 minutes, none are 120 mins.... I saved the 120 mins tapes for the Friday shows :)

big respect to the uploaders, not just for taking the time out, but for sharing their tapes. I just wish i had kept all my tapes, i parted with them when i moved out my folks gaff for the first time as a spritely 20 year old. At the time in 2002 i thought "oh i cant be arsed to store them, i'll just bin them", a very very big mistake i made there as without realising i have binned a whole bunch of memories too. Simcut was like me, i used 120 minute tapes on the friday shows and the 90 minute ones on saturday shows, i always used to delay recording the saturday show by 30 minutes so i could get the half hour mix in. Happy days.

I think i found this site by mistake about 2 years ago now (!) whilst browsing tracklistings from days gone byon another site, i got a link here. Whilst here i cheekily nabbed the 03/03/1999 show (which i vividly remember aswell), then i bagged another, and another, and another. I remember listening to that first show i downloaded which i hadn't heard since 1999, and all the memories and the tunes i loved came flooding back.

I'm glad there are more folk like me that like to relive the golden years through the best medium for evoking memories - music.

Right, time to go bed, i'm still stuck in "late shift" sleep pattern from work.

I'm with Moonman here, except I never threw the tapes out, some one else bloody did, I still have a precious few, but have been replacing them digitally from this site and that's why I love it here.

I think anyone who is sharing an audio with the rest of us is a wonderful person.

My dad used to take me to Enfield and I buy'd packs of the 120 mins tapes either from the Enfield Market or from HMV there, and I used to sit in my dining room in my old house on a Fri night and record and listen to the Fri shows, good times :)

I've got hundreds of tapes too and have supplied Tim with a few classics sets.

I've been trying to get mine converted to mp3 format but it takes too long so like Number 2 fan l'm downloading lots of the sets that appear on here. This site is the BEST!!!!!
