Number2Fan Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I gave up with Andy and the Lamboy - Diesirae as apparenty he only wants tunes within the last ten years anyway. But yesterday I was playing submerge - singles and angels and I decided it didn't have enough recognition for the standard of tune that it was, I really hope I hear it out when I go to Cream anthems in August, LIKE ALOT!!! So I'm gonna ask Jules to play it too!! PS My L key on this laptop is p***ing me off!! Quote

Spin Doctor Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 submerge - singles and angels It was a Jules' favourite back in the day, so I don't see why he wouldn't if you ask nicely! Quote
Number2Fan Posted July 31, 2009 Author Posted July 31, 2009 It was a Jules' favourite back in the day, so I don't see why he wouldn't if you ask nicely! I asked him, he said it was a great choice and he's gotta go and find it now. I did send a particularly eloquent email tho! What makes you think I would ask un - nicely? Quote
milkybarkid Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I love singles and angles, one of the many underrated classics Jules brought into my life. But what is the first track you mentioned no2 fan? Couldn't find it on youtube, or remember it, to my shame. Quote
Number2Fan Posted July 31, 2009 Author Posted July 31, 2009 No it's from 1997 I think, it's in the archives though, coz I found it for tremor. I think it's actually spelt Andy & the lamboy - Dies Irae. Out around the same time as Moonman I'll find the link again, I'm sure if you are old enough you'd know of it! It's on a compilation of his too, retrospective of house, dunno which volume sorry. I'll be back. Quote

Number2Fan Posted August 1, 2009 Author Posted August 1, 2009 Ha ha, love the way the last post is you shouting; TRACK 8! Staking your reputation on the line here. Looking forward to hearing this now! LOLOL that made me laugh, also made me laugh that you think I have any kind of reputation in the first place. Remember though Jules didn't half play alot of (IMO) rubbish tunes up until around that time. Alot of hiddeous female vocals. I think it was these tunes that brought him to attention in a good way. JasonB Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 send jules a mp3 of submerge, that'd be the easiest option. Quote
Number2Fan Posted August 1, 2009 Author Posted August 1, 2009 I haven't got one? Has anyone here got one? I did send him the youtube vid, so he knew what I was talking about. Quote
