Tremor
I've recently purchased a MacBook Pro with Logic 9 express as it was an option to have it preinstalled for an extra £150 or something and I've always wanted to learn how to make tunes. I just wondered if any of you use it and what you think of it. I have a lot to learn. So far I really havn't got stuck into it properly but I know very little about how to use it. Any tips welcome! simonross46
At uni we have Logic 8 installed but I've not yet had the chance to check it out properly. I wonder if the differences between 8 and 9 are major or not?

Moonman
wish i could help i use ableton live 8 and the music production course i am doing at the mo with timmy & tommy we are using reason youtube is great for everything that how learned to use ableton aswell best of luck with it I have decided to opt for this also. I've done about months research into who uses it and what tracks are made with it. I realise its not the software, its how you use it, but i really like the layout and idea of Reason. I'll be purchasing it with the refills in the new year. It's not just dance producers using Reason either. I am looking forward to getting stuck into it. Tremor
haha forgot about this thread. As yet I still have done nothing with logic, oops. Oh well I have ordered a book to help get me started and hopefully work will be quieter in January so I can actually spend some time getting into it. Ian_k
have you checked out sander van doors studio sessions there handy and he uses logic http://www.sandervandoorn.com/#studiosessions think you gotta register on the site to get some of the later videos or get them free on youtube http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=sander+van+doorn+studio+sessions&search_type=&aq=1&oq=sander+van+doorn+stud also searched on youtube for logic 9 tutuorial and found this, go through all the stuff to get a basic overview. tbh that guy who published them videos has looooads of useful videos on logic 9, well worth a look and worth a look at the authors page on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/user/imamusicmogul
