Quadrant Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 How he strings this out for an hour I don't know, but I've become hooked at the moment. I don't understand why people do not like Noel Edmonds, he is a great entertainer. Anyone else watch this, albeit less regularly? Quote
Si_E_P Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 i get to see it at best once a week but im quite partial to a bit of deal or no deal, very good squire!!!! Quote
Max Kane Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Its a fine programme, love the whole 'i'll se what the banker has to offer' thing, and makin em play on once they have taken the deal is cruelty at its best Quote
Bjorn Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 we all watch this every day, f***ing class programme, some right unlucky ppl on there!! Quote
Wakey Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 at uni we always pile round someones room to watch it, awesome programme! Edmonds is quality, love the way he just leans against the side of the studio or randomly sits on the floor! Quote
bigsteve Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 I tune in every day too! A very novel idea, but it is strung out too long. Should cut it down to 30 minutes. However, it is still vey addictive viewing. I've entered the home-viewer competition via the web loads of times now. I've often made the shortlist, but haven't won yet  Quote
Neuro Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Haha, lol @ Steve trying to cash in on the TV shows! I like this show as well, though there was one complete bell-end who played a couple of weeks ago, this fat bloke who was so draw-droppingly arrogant it was unbelievable. After much unneccessary gesticulation towards the audience every time he proudly announced "No Deal", he finally won a small amount and proceeded to run around the studio, past all his "friends" who were standing behind the boxes in a line at the back, slapping their hands as he raced past them 'airplane' style as if he'd won £250,000... *cringe* :? Was that the guy from Bolton :? He was a complete arrogant sod. Its those sort of people that ruin the program. Couldn't believe yesterday's - he would have had the £75k and £250k in the last 2 boxes, if he'd carried on. I'd have dealed at £50k tho   Quote
Quadrant Posted January 5, 2006 Author Posted January 5, 2006 Did anyone see that person from Essex a couple of days ago who went to the last two boxes, then swapped them, and ended up with 1p? Shouldn't really laugh, but I did. Quote
dormouse Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Yeah I saw that, am really loving this show at the moment... Quote
bigsteve Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Yeah, it was well funny! I just wish it was a 30 minute show, Noel drags it out way too long Quote
Cliffy Burrows Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Yeah I like this show. Drives me mad though the people that are all brave until near the end then take the small amount offered. I'm shouting "grow some balls". Quality viewing. Quote
bigsteve Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 I like the people that are convinced they have £250k in their box, but then find it elsewhere. Then they're convinced they have £50k, etc, etc! Quote
KR Tech Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 It seems the players with the boxes on there every week really know each other. My bet is that they have a team bonding session at the bar after every show, and that'd why they're so pleased for their friends when they're doing well... KR Quote
bigsteve Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Each new contestant spends a good few shows on the East or West wing and stands behind a box for the actual contestant. They then, eventually, get to be the player Quote
Quadrant Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 I bet you'd like to play on the show Steve. Seems like you've heen doing some research! Quote
bigsteve Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I should go on! I'm too much of a bottler tho Quote
bigsteve Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Found this on another board http://www.nbc.com/Deal_or_No_Deal/game/ Unfortunately its a yank version, but still not bad to play Quote
Neuro Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Saw the Spanish version of this when I was over there in January - nowhere near as polished as the Channel 4 version! Tacky was not the word! Did anyone see that woman walk away with £57,000 today? Quote
bigsteve Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 That was brilliant yesterday! I can't believe she had 8 reds and only 1 blue at one point  Best one yet 8-) and I like it when 'decent' people go on there and win loads. I hate these cocky types that go on there thinking they're gonna win loads, and then it all crashes down on them Quote
