  1. Well just finished this...tis my attempt at a cover of an 'Eerie' magazine #23, original artist Frank Frazetta. I got proportions wrong so am missing left hand side (couldn't be bov'd to draw it out again). Needs tweaking really as I couldn't quite make out some of the detail, but want to start something new....
  2. Soz.....was hoping to find some gems and I'm sure they're there if this is your taste. Initially I thought the listing looked inviting with the smattering of gorgeous classics in there, but to me, that's all there is. I found the main rather repetitive disco flavoured and I'm from the old hippie school. Think the last track caught my attention but not enough to go 'wow'....but thanks for the chance anyhow ....
  3. ....well, been a couple of years since I last did one, am doing the Sun so thought I might as well bulk the numbers up!!!
  4. Hi there and welcome.... could this be the set I uploaded, I don't remember that Jules quote but she sings 'Spell on you' in her free style kinda way and the lines 'I wanna go a little craz-zee uh ummm or maybe I already am oh yeah I've forgotten'....? I simply love this sesh and it's housed in the miscellaneous audio archive.....DO hope it's what your after!
  5. Lovely! What can I say that's not been said before? You just don't have to of ' been there ' to thoroughly enjoy this epic; it holds it's own today.....
  6. uumm uumm....back in the day, a great trip back in time with memorable classics and some not so. There's a certain feel when listening to the actual show of the time which I just don't get as strong as when I play the vinyl/CD . Like the popular 'Happiness Happening' before it cheesed out in the charts had this certain feel in the clubs.... And the majesty of Carte Blanche...'twas then all new. ha ha...thanks for the memories!!!
  7. Looks good against your wall though...
  8. Great stuff Cheese! JasonB -I was expecting a portrait.... . I like the style, tis something I've never had chance to develop...hence copy....
  9. aaahhh, neat! Love these, the step by step progression...oils? can see you're a 'proper'/creative artists as oppose to a copyist like me. To be hung on that wall? looks awesome with the orange background emphasising the light........ And looking forward to seeing Cheeses portrait too!
  10. tee hee....I've been here a YEAR now!!!!! :D

  11. Yeah, no....couldn't get it to download even after following the advice given to Cheese. Just use bog standard windows and firefox, usually no problems. So I downloaded the 18/12 instead without issue....
  12. .........nnnoooo......not work....... n'er mind, will poddle off to find something else......

Just heard him say something like -'Radio 1 supplying more aural stimulation of an entirely legal nature'. And there's one somewhere where he says 'smoking like Princess Margaret'....
  14. Few mins to spare so checked through some singles.... US punk combo Devo's cover of the Stones Satisfaction has 'Money Talks People Mumble' S express Theme has 'Brilliance for a Better World' David Bowie's Fashion has 'So There!'
  15. OOOOOOHHHHHH lovely!!!! For me the weakest tracks are 18 and 19...(.know I've commented on Portamento Passout before-probably contradicting self here!!) .....But do love this sesh.......happy days....
  16. Just listening in and love it, some really awesome tunes that take me to a time that had a certain feel to it. Tunes like the awesome Dream Universe and Bodyshine are on my tapes and only now Id'd , and some of the others already mentioned. So a hhhuuugggeee thanks for this....
  17. Haven't got any Val Doonican to check the run outs..... ....Walk Tall first top ten for ol' Val 1964....
  18. Hi there....nice one! It's a great site and I couldn't believe my luck when I came across it. Was doing the same - transferring my old tapes to disc and trying to Id tracks, coming across forgotten (by me) tunes and sessions. The guys here're doing an excellent job and it' s a brilliant concept with it's track listings for the shows and obviously -the downloads...love it!
  19. Diving faces....yeah....else another pleasant little mix. For me, these little mixes are saved by the radio one jingles half way through which make them come alive rather than being some faceless cd mix..............
  20. My punk ones are heavily political...only have half a doz dance/trance ones. Spoiled and Ziego's 'More and More' has 'I only want more' and on the other side 'and more and more'... Have a Soft Cell 12 inch of 'Memorabilia' which has ' A FIN A FINISH A FINNYFISH' on the B side....
  21. Blue Monday......I have 'Mastered by SNB' and then some 'Factory/'references...
  22. Nice idea....hhhmmmm ....I may have one or two suitable but am nearing the end of a time consuming family portrait mission that's been developing over the past couple of years. When I started really getting back into painting, about 5 years ago, oppertunity arose to join an old foagies art class- the type where they sit around and natter and splash paint everywhere except on the paper- so the subjects have been a bit staid.....the usual flowers etc. But am looking to copy some horror comic covers that I've found alluring.... Yes dooo. ..love to see other folk's work 'cos I love the passion behind it.....and look for hints where I can improve (or nick... !)
  23. AAWWW Cheese that's real bad to have your stuff nicked. I get very possesive of my work so can empathise at your loss. Nice that you're rekindling the craft, even though it was at the expense of something else. Cheers Quadrant....
