Not quite what I was looking for from this era but banging all the same with some interesting rhythm going on, the last track was more like it....

Initially enticed by Veracocha and Gouryella so early in the listing so for me really picks up later with Gold 'n' Delicious and was pleasantly surprised with the end mix, not really recognising the track names etc......nice one .... :thumbsup:

No 'finds' but still pleasantly BANGING!!!!

Did try the first week but totaly forgot last week; will try to remember...

Ozo - Anambra part 2, as on Sasha 'the remixes'; awesomely majestic but can't seem to find it on youtube, there's the original and other versions......

Found this one pretty consistent; getting used to the different flows throughout the shows as I've only kept snippets here and there. Agree with Cheese as not too keen on Marc et Claude but also Bang. But it goes with the time; history. Name to track for me on this one is Smudge and Smith with Near Me.....nice...

Know what you're saying........now a days I'm only really listening in in the car diving back home from work late, dark empty roads giving loads of atmosphere; appreciating the (orchestral) depth that really does pull on the emotions....

I atually find this quite useful info 'cos I don't know anything about things mentioned; or only just a bit to get by on :redface: ....so I use basic windows as nowte else seems to play in my car. 'tis a reason I've stalled from uploading any other mixes I have (plus the fact I'm sure full program versions will be uploaded by someone else - don't want to clogg the system with random bits!)

Interesting site.... .....could hear the sample but that version's got vocal. That discio stuff that's mashed with it's familiar too but never was/am not into the disco scene, think that'd need someone with a more disco based backgound to pick that one out.

:lol: yeah, I'm a biddy....always wanted to go up Progress - our local, but that was because I wanted to see Sonique. Wasn't till '98 and I split from my long term that I managed to get 'out', and took a couple of the girls along too. It became the thing to see Jules....

Would've been (tuned in) but twas a case of not knowing who we were listening to nor what would develop out of it. Was at work and had already cudgelled the girls to listen to PT and remember getting them to give the 'new guy' a go rather than suffer retuning to the tedious Trent playlist and accompanying caterwauling. (We were a small unit of 4 girls sorting mail). I'd got a tape of one of the Journeys by DJ of him but other than that hadn't really focused on him.

Believe Tongy's 52.....(was gob smacked to find he's around my age.... :eek: )

A particular instance of Lost Witness's Happiness Happening bringing the crowd together is etched in to my memory...it was late on in the set, can't remember without checking my diaries as to who was on. Another instance was at the 'pre-Progress club', a renovated church....an awesome sight of some students larging it to Todd Terry's 'Bad Boy' (the Loop Da Loop remix ID'd after finding this site! ...cheers JB...); Both very colourful recollections that I'd like to capture on canvas one day...

Actually only saw this for the first time a few months ago! .......'tis time capsule.....

oh yes.....love it....and I've ..ermmmm....recognised unnamed tracks on my tapes....GD - Choral Reef and the Digger track! :redface: ...well I'm not on the case all time and to have just 'instrumental' scrawled in my track descriptions isn't too helpful.......but it's a well good show!!! :thumbsup:

A difficult call as I'm drawn to different aspects for different reasons. I was at work Fridays but managed to coerce the girls to listen in - we had the awful Trent FM play list weekdays that they liked to sing a long with....got one covert out of it though. I was also out clubbing in late 90's to 2001. My tapes from that era are bitty and interspersed with Pete Tong, save a couple of little mixes I've uploaded, hence I've the tunes but don't know the artist - except for the obvious classics. So I can't really tell how good a show is by just looking at the listing.....it's nice to take a chance and get a surprise and think 'I've got that!', but I don't like all that cheesy disco-esque type stuff. Early '00s I stayed in with the radio on - up dating the Saturday footy data for our syndicate. But there were some powerful mixes from that era - so I can't say the earlier shows win hands down 'cos to me it was the mixes that made it. His shows just built up to that final half hour. (He did have a phase of playing something particularly dreadful in this era which just wasn't music - perhaps he was just nob twiddling........ thing is, I can still hear that shite!) Finally stopped listening 2006 so can't comment.

Just to say had same problem. The ones I'd tried to upload were just part mixes so I thought I'd 'done something' whilst tidying them up to upload. Will give this a listen later...
