  1. Cheers... Although I went to art college I did a crappy vocational course (and a lot of parties), it's only in the last 15 years that I've been dabbling, more so the last 5. I only really copy as oppose to using my imagination so in reality don't actually consider my self an artist....it's just something I love doing. Quadrant has said he paints too and am sure have read something like that about Jasonb somewhere. What are you painting? Have never dared to try oils.
  2. Created this album for something else but thought I'd like to try it here. They're copies of the inner covers from some old Fireball XL5 albums from the 1960's. Fireball preceded Thunderbirds and was always my favourite with it's incidental music and mysterious space adventures. Anyhow, hope the link works..... http://s1088.photobucket.com/albums/i329/spladap/Fireball%20xl5/ Acrylic on paper.
  3. Pleasant....innocuous...nothing really belts me in the face....
  4. Well....didn't expect it to be this good...BUT, my heart stays with the Perfecto mix. 'Twas at a time of big personal upheavals.....
  5. Nice one! 't was the only time I wrote in, an unmissable A4 pic . Since joining site have come across a Chrissie 'shout'...around June 06
  6. This really picks up half way through for me. Initially looks great although lulls a bit around Hani (...curiously have that trailing into some sounds I preferred-good to see where it came from though). Might need to give it more of a listen . But how fantastic to again ID tracks, in this case notably GD 's Choral Reef and Delerium's Heavens Earth....bliss! And rounded off with a nice little mix too. Know the buzz too when you get a mention. In our case it was down tools and dance - we were at work... !...And if I hadn't sent a piss taking cartoon we might have got something more refined 'dedicated' to us....we got Loop Da Loop's Hazel...
  7. Loads of good old un's here....and found some that have been sampled and make me think...ahhh I know this!! In particular Transformer 2. On Jules's Journeys by DJ, that coupled with Ronnie Canada's The Power's in my Music' truly sublime. (in my book anyway) . Twisted Angel I've also heard elsewhere, possibly Sasha...so it's nice to hear these in a different context. Then Boccaccio Life - 'The Secret Wish' is evocative of a certain time with a certain.... new car ....
  8. Awesome little mix with names and faces put together, so to speak.....and forgotten abouts!
  9. This is around the end of my Jules listening era when I stopped taping. Have tracks 15, 16 together from this show already! Other tunages are confettied around them. LOVE Nash's dreams . Hopefully after listening will be able to ID some of the remaining tunes.
  10. Have isolated the date of a little 15 min upload by Tongy as 18th feb 2000! Whoop Whoop! Lovin' it.......(voice in the background 'get some work done!')
  11. Yep....in a word. 'Ordinary' folk were invited to put a mix together and send in by cassette...(how times have changed!), which Jules and his crones would sort a little bit out and put out for the listeners. I'd forgot until listening to this, then those wonderful times came flooding back! ( laughs at 'work'). Before that (on this) they had a feature called 'the Jules Alternative' which ' deviated from their usual House'.
  12. thanks....love this little set.....'t all works for me
  13. When I read that folk remember certain mixes of ten years ago I think WOW! -wish my memory was that good too. But in this case I actually do remember! 'cos at the time I was working in a certain department in the evenings and bludgeoned the girls to listening to Pete Tong then Jules on a Friday evening instead of the same old same shite play list on Trent.....(got one convert out of them lol), Anyhow with this Bedroom Bedlam section the guy was Marcus from Notts; I remember thinking if it was the same budding DJ who owned/worked in a little dance record shop up Hurts Yard a few years earlier.........just a random memory!
  14. Yeah, I found this quite a mixed bag....developing nicely; I like (if I've worked tracks out right- how hard can that be!!!!) Members of Mayday, probably as it's the one I'm most familiar with!
  15. yeah, I must say I was surprised at what he's been involved with....I didn't realise until I tried researching in IDing tunes....Just knew the songs not the arists,
  16. Absolutely!...am submerged in this very era and lovin' it...
  17. .....ah yes....most probably! My ears aint what they used to be.... Thanks...and that's another title I can cross off my list from the surrounding tunes....
  18. Well, on my little tune IDing quest came across a listing for a 30 min mix which goes:- Portamento Passout - Organic Overload Olav "from Holland" with Pacca???(can't make it out and not found any reference to it anywhere) Jonah - Sssst ...Listen Dutch Force - Dead Line. I didn't tape the mix -just Dutch Force. It's seated in February 2000. Don't know if this fits in anywhere or is of any use...
  19. Well, again not a sesh I've downloaded -yet; But have this little 30 min thingy at the end which I love....'cept Moguai. Just LOVE Singles and Angles, a little tunage that crops up all over my tapes from this era.
  20. For some reason I haven't actually listened that much to this mix so 've been giving it a blast and I think it's quite allright! I think the way Jules pronounces 'L'annonce Des Couleurs' just makes me laugh..(childish humour), and then he calls Angelic Angel!.... hhmmm....but on the whole -like!
  21. WOW, excellant...just what I need, ..thanks
  22. Does anyone know if PT's '90's track listings, other than the essential mixes, are available anywhere? Most sites I've investigated hover around 2000. (I've probably overlooked something obvious.) Have some wierd and wonderful tunages to ID on my early tapes ...
  23. yeah peeps, I own up to being one of the fogies just to quell curiosity as there don't seem to me many gals on here.

  24. Hi, that's an impressive 'about me' page. Not many of us have configured this bit....nice.

  25. Downloaded alright for me ..... Will be giving it a listen shortly. Yeah, some good tunes on there -that I wont pretend to know!. Thought I'd recognise more though....nice!
