  1. definately, i'm all about the 1999/2000 sound. That was when it was best. To be honest today's sound just bores me. It doesn't do anything for me. I suppose thats why i've gone back to my metal/rock routes and started playing the old guitar again. Oh, i forgot to mention i've also sold my CDJ's too....putting the cash toward a motorbike!

    Hangover cures

I like to drink in moderation these days, getting a little tipsy but not messy. I always find that supping G&T with good company, good music and a beautiful female(s) does it for me...sadly there no beautiful females left in Peterborough so that kinda goes out the window. We settle at one bar in Peterborough we all really like, all the other bars tend to attract the sort of people that either think they're footballers and the girls think they are WAGs.

Thats is so f***ing wrong! I always makesure i shower and brush my teeth after a night out! That is just plain wrong. I bet that'd be even worse if you had a donner kebab - talk about hellbreath.
  5. wasnt the Loop Da Loop track originally called "Sally"? Then for some reason (legal probably) it got renamed to Hazel. It samples an old rap record which name escapes me at the minute. I dont think they got clearance to use the sample so it was remade as Hazel. I'm pretty sure this is what happened - either that or i'm going mad. Like Loop Da Loop "Miracle Maker" which is a great track, they never got the Mc Dukie sample cleared so that never got released either!

LOL what the hell is that!?! someone please explain.
  7. the police use this type of thing. You then have to do 4 role plays and carry out a final interview at the assessment centre. It's quite stressful and nerve wracking. Then you have do a fitness test.
  8. of course he wont. He's simply playing with the media in the hope a big club will swoop on him. This way he keeps his name on the back pages. Good propganda for himself. If i was a manager, it's what i'd do!
  9. colchester was a s*** draw for the local team....

i think i've said this before, SEX and hella lots of it.
  12. Yeah Egyptian Empire - The Horn Track is HEAVY. I still prefer the original 1991 Amen version though. It's kicks hard!
  13. ahhh very good find Mr Fuzzy Logic. I tell thee, there's some great atmosphere in that main room...just listen to it! That is one up for it crowd. Some good tunes on here...my favourite being the old Wicked Phunker - Jungle Boogie (Black Legend Mix). There was a Black Legend Vocal mix flying around on promo at the time which was even better, i never could get hold of it though so i settled for the dub mix which i have. That was when Robbie Rivera did make some seriously good house track/remixes. Then he went all tribal. Also listen to this type of funky/filtered house...how much better does it sound compared to the electro stuff of today? Marc Et Claude "Loving You" (Dark Moon Mix) also brings back some poignant memories. Jules displays some damn fine mixing here too. The type that help make his name. Very fluid and with a nice flow. A very good post from the Fuzzy one. Definitely download this one. Oh and one other thing, listening to jules mix on here do you get the feeling he finds it easier/prefers mixing with vinyl than he does CDJ's?
  14. track no.9, thats not the Soulsearcher bootleg is it? That was class, the vocals from Soulsearcher "I Just Can't Get Enough" over the top of Apollo 440 "Stop The Rock" (Gigolo's Remix). This was called "Stop The Soulsearcher" and it was on the "Rejected E.P". The flip side had Humate "Love Stimulation" with the Powerhouse "What You Need" vocals over the top. This EP i think was made by Stuart Crichton. He simply got hold of the Defected accapellas vinyl and mashed the tracks up. Either wa, suitably large tunage. Looks a good show, i'll fetch this now. Well i just listened and it's not the above track. It's some sort of remix of Soulsearcher!

  18. this is one of the best hot mixes...It's bonkers but genius. Check out the "Get Tough" track for example - it's barmy. Whilst not tight the mixing really is something, it really flows. To pack 8 tunes into 30 mins is a bit funky too!
  19. clubbers guide to 99...check the mix from Gold'N'Delicious "ascension" into Blockster "you should be dancin'" at the end of the first disc. How heavy does it sound!?!
  20. Radical Playaz - The Hook - I think Tall paul had something to do with this. Real funky but banging. The tempo is nice and the groove is tight. Like it a lot. Southside Spinners - Luvstruck - Marco V & Benjamin mix - This was when they had a string of great productions. Good peak time stuff. Marco V should have stuck to this type of sound. Rhythmatic Junkies - The Feeling - Rhythm Masters had shaped the sound i play as a DJ. They got me into to the whole tough funky sound. This has a great hook and this bangs along a good old pace. Very very good stuff. This is what i call hard house. Shame they split, since the productions by Steve Mac havent exactly been great. Aptness - The Answer - A tune that just takes me back to 1999 and when i first started going to Crasher. I also remember hearing it bootlegged to death with the Madison Avenue, Fragma, Pamela Fernandez vocals. Roadblock - The Rules - "ALRIGHT...SHUT UP...Now...You got to follow the rules to the game. Rule 1; Leave all your problem at the door, Rule 2; Find yourself the sexiest dance partner you can find, and rule 3; ALWAYS, REMEMBER THE MUSIC" - Best tune on the comp, great breakdown, good sample, nice, quick and funky. Mike Koglin - The Silence - Great track, again this takes me back to the good old days. That breakdown is serious hands in the air stuff. This sample has been used many times but Mike Koglin did it best. This is a great comp, this was when MOS really did release cracking comps. The "Sessions" comps are good but they simply cannot compare to the 1998-2000 ones they did. I remember the CLubbers Guide To Ibiza 99 one Jules did too, that was another belter.
