  1. Yeah pretty much mate. As Traill said though, everyone has their opinions. What one person thinks is gash is another person's tune of the year. I felt the sample didn't fit the rest of the tune though and the volume between the sample and the main tune sounded noticably different. It sounded very poorly produced to me.

    No wonder :@

I've not experienced any problems with Vista other than with Goldwave which has an MP3 encoder issue - which is a Vista bug set to be fixed in service pack 2 when that is released. The only gripe I have with Vista is that it runs like a pig. It drains all your system resources and hard drive space. My laptop is fairly gutsy, but Vista is soooo painfully slow on it.
  3. Yeah Fabio Stein was someone he just took a shine too, as with a few other artists he's supported. I'm not saying he's mega friendly with the "regulars" he supports, but I think there are the odd one or two that Jules is friendly with and hasn't got the heart to say "actually mate, in all honesty, I don't think this track is as strong as your other tunes".
  4. I hated it too. It sounds very poorly produced and doesn't work very well at all. Another one of those bootlegs that Jules should have put in the reject bin
  5. Well, I guess Jules may have played before/after him at a gig recently and started to get quite chatty with him - and since then, he's started to support his tunes. One thing that has frustrated me over the years is that Jules has supported tunes simply because he's pally-pally with the producer, even though the tunes are quite weak. Michael Woods is a fine example - Jules has supported every tune of his, even though some have been fairly weak. Then there are supurb producers that Jules chooses not to support such as John O'Callaghan, Vascotia, Sean Tyas, etc. Its a bit baffling really.
  6. I don't see why this is so highly rated at the moment. I think its very over-rated I don't like this either. It was great in its original form, but can't see the point in the new vocal. Jules never supported the original, but for some reason, he seems to like this version.

    Website

Looking good! All it needs now is to conquer the web on Google - which i'm happy to do free of charge for you
  8. I doubt it though - I mean, the whole reason behind this schedule change was to split the dance from the urban shows (long overdue too IMO) - with Dance being on Friday, and Urban on Saturday. If anything, Eddie will be Jules's eventual successor when he decides to hang up his headphones. I think when Jules's hangs up his headphones as a club DJ, he'll eventually replace Dave Pearce - and will just be a radio presenter, whilst Eddie will fill the "specialist" seat left by Jules. Annie Mac will be Tong's replacement. I reckon that is why Radio 1 brought these DJ's in so that they're groomed as eventual successors. Lets face it, Eddie wasn't radio material a couple of years ago - he had a poor radio personality, but he's come on a lot now and sounds the real deal.
  9. Markus Schulz is a DJ I really shouldn't like - he doesn't play my ind of music at all, but i've seen him 4 times now, and there's something I quite like. His mixing is flawless, he's a good set builder, and he plays the odd one or two cracking tunes. I love Fly To Colors, and The Perspective Space is one of the best bootlegs i've heard in years (glad to see it's getting a release too!).
  10. Tom and I should have our names in gold & Black!
  11. Can I be Grey so that it matches my hair?
  12. Gutted! *Goes off to buy a web hosting plan to set up www.westwood&bigdawgsarchive.com *
  13. Turnmills is a really nice venue - it has a nice atmosphere, nice layout, good crowd, and I love the way you can stand right next to the booth. I went to see Richard Durand there in August, and I was inches away from him and could see everything he was doing - including three decks and a sampler all in play at the same time. Awesome to watch! Looking forward to going back there again soon
  14. I never thought i'd see Jules support a Coldharbour release either

    Question

haha no doubt it'll be the question on Jules's guestlist competition tonight, so you might hear the answer then
  16. Yeah, especially if its Westwood. If its Westwood, then it should be split into as many pieces as possible, so that it's destroyed beyond recognition and can't even be put back together with Pro Tools. Between us, we could finally rid the world of the evil Westwood!
  17. If its a two hour set, then 2x one hour downloads is fine - but if its a one hour set, 2x half hour sections seems a bit pointless.
  18. 25 quid for 4 meg is a good deal, but 15 quid for 512kbps isn't - so you've done the right thing there. However, make sure you actually do get a 4 meg connestion speed as many BT lines can only handle 2 meg maximum due to distances from the exchange, how recent the technology is at the exchange, etc.
  19. I prefer it as one file. I cna download it as one object then, place track markers in with Goldwave, and then burn it to CD so that I can listen to it in the car and skip the tunes that I don't like
  20. yeah I like it too - definately a tune for the crowd. When they start singing along, you know its got the seal of approval. I think its going to be up there with Filo & Peri - Anthem - some people will love it, others will hate it.
  21. Yeah, really good bootleg. I wouldn't believe all you hear though - i've heard that Armin is the one behind it

    Julesisms

"Like pensioners on a bus, we're trippin'" "We're covering more fields than a tractor" (Creamfields 2002) "We're banging like the rabbits from Watership Down" "The tunes are phatter than John Prescott" "Creating more beats per minute than Tony Blair's ticker"

    Julesisms

Good idea mate! I reckon that if this site is going to be the ultimate shrine to Jules, then it should cover everything - from Julesisms and tracklistings. I reckon Jules should send us all a copy of every tunes he owns too - so that we can bring back memories of Jules's good old tunage in our very own bedrooms
  24. Here's Dave with a loyal follower from the Escape club - one that looks a bit like Matthew Kelly. "Tonight Matthew, i'm going to be Dave Pearce"
