Tunes i'd always associate with Jules:

Dark Monks - Insane (Steve Murano Remix)

Mario Piu - Library

Joy Kitikonti - Joy Energizer

JamX & De Leon - Can U Dig it

RBA - No Alternative

Moogwai - Viola

Yomanda - On The Level

Nigel Gee - Hootin'

Burgy - Lochfresser

Citizen Caned - The Journey

Yves Deruyter - Back To Earth

Miss Shiva - Dreams (Cosmic Gate Remix)

Riva - Stringer

Excession - Altitude

Angelic - Its My Turn

Mauro Picotto - Verdi

Mauro Picotto - Baguette

Hi-Gate - Pitchin'

The Clergy - Saints & Sinners

The Clergy - Oboe Song (Green Martian Remix)

Plus, I think these would be pretty much guaranteed if Jules picked his favourites from over the years:

Brainbug - Nightmare

Green Martian - Industry

DJ Elite - That Fuct Camera

Kristine Blond - Love Shy

Lost Witness - Happiness Happening

Ferry Corsten & Robert Smit - I'm In Love

Hi-Gate - Caned & Unable

Definitely

Lost Witness - Happiness Happening

Bocaccio Life - The Secret Wish

ROOS - Instant Moments

Signum - What ya got 4 me

Pulsar - Cloudwalking

GD - Choral Reef

System F - Out of the blue

Travel - Bulgarian

Submerge - Singles and Angles

Ralph Fridge - Angel

Digger - Church of ra

Absolom - Baby boomers

Alena - Turn it around

Rank 1 - Airwave

Actually it's a pretty endless list now that I think about it, but wouldn't it be amazing, and how awesome would it be if he was to do a farewell gig, and we all went to it!! :)

... And if he dropped the infamous unknown - unknown from the old Lush set!!

Choral Reef! Forgot about that! Massive "Jules tune" at the time!

Ralph Fridge - Angel would be guaranteed if he were to do a classics set. Its one of his all-time favourites.

I would imagine he'd play Team SR - Leaving London too. I think that still stands as his most supported tune on Radio 1 (wasn't it something like 26 weeks of airplay?). He likes it so much, he also played it twice during his set at Global Gathering 2006 too! :shifty:

Digger "Church of Ra" would have to be in there!

I've got a few ideas which I will post up tomorrow - as has been said though what made Jules stand out so much was that he'd play some really random stuff no-one else would be go near - and it was awesome!

I really hope Jules would see it as being granted a farewell send off rather than treating it as a standard Essential Mix - and therefore play a "best of" mix rather than a showcase mix.

I'd definately tune in for a 'best of' mix - but I wouldn't bother if he just treated it as a normal set.

I'll have a bash then:

Hands Burn "Good Shot"

Joshua Ryan "Pistolwhip"

Red Alien ft Afrika Islan "Overdose" (Zulu Beat Mix)

Green Martian "Industry"

Yves Deruyter "To The Rhythm"

Absolom "Baby Boomers"

DJ Dan "Needle Damage"

Hi-Gate "Pitchin"

Citizen Caned "The Journey"

Digger "Church Of Ra"

GD "Choral Reef"

D.A.V.E. The Drummer "One Last One"

Mauro Picotto "Baguette", "Like This Like That"

Lost Witness "Happiness Happening" (Lange Mix)

Azure "Sunset"

Warrior "If You Want Me" (Instrumental)

Beatpusher "Murto"

The Clergy "Saints & Sinners"

Spoiled & Zigo "More & More" (Instrumental)

Plus loads more - they're the ones I plucked from the top of my head, no doubt missed loads of seminal tracks!

Yeah I was gonna say yves deruyter - to the rhythm and pistolwhip!

There's is just so many tunes that bring Jules to mind, either from nights out or radio tapes, Mixmag reviewing and CD's.

So credit to Neuro too, coz this site is a fricking goldmine, and should be preserved forever! :)

Tim has done a wonderful job and this site does serve as something of a legacy - long may it continue!

Reysan Khan - Sh Du Khan (another one of 'those' wacky tunes that only Jules would play)

DJ Gert - Give Me Some More

Ramirez - Hablando (Push remix)

David Forbes - Questions Must be Asked (Kayestone Remix)

PPK - Resurection.

PPK wasn't everyone's cup of tea - but Jules caned it for months over two stints - the first when it was unsigned, the second when Oakie signed it to Perfecto.

No-One Driving "Playa Sol" (the original version not that horrible re-done vocal) would be a good oldie to bring out.

I must say that while there are scores and scores of tracks he could play - it'd be great to hear some of those quintissential Jules tunes that only he played, as opposed to the big ones that were more widely popular
