Number2Fan
That was meant to say " great on another freakin bank holiday, when the trains are shit " Thought they'd bring it down south at some point tbh!
Neuro
jules is finding out at the moment if his set was recorded hopefully it was! Jules let me know he was pretty certain there was no recording device in the booth. I specifically asked the organizers of this event in good time to look into recording the Trance sets, and they confirmed they'd have some audio after the event. Then yesterday i was told by them that there is none at all! Sorry everybody but there's not much more we could have done.
breadbin
Thats a shame. it was a brilliant set.
Max Kane
It is a shame there were no recordings - still with the amount of classic Jules sets present on here it's not the end of the world!
Number2Fan
Awww such a shame for those of you that attended, more than anything. Ask the "god damn" organisers if they will tour? Pretty please?
FuzzY-LogiC
That's really a shame it's so magically to hear a set you know that you attended... I guess I'll have to rely on my mind for the memories
FuzzY-LogiC
Hopefully they have learned a thing or two about sound quality before they throw another party... I was quite disappointed. Reason comes here. 4 days prior to the event on Sunday I attended a small warehouse party (150-200 people max!) in Copenhagen with Drum'n Bass and a mixture of Dubstep and reggaeton (by a danish crew)... They had specifically gotten a Function One soundsystem for that night and it was just amazingly pure sound.... SO good! Perfect balanced and absolutely no distortion whatsoever, even though it was quite loud (not MOS loud, but loud). Then, jump to Sheffield on Sunday... the sound was really poor with lots of technical problems :rubbish:  I remember the sound being best from Jules and onward (it might be because of the awesome tunes and the alcohol had started to work...dunno :oddcake: )

Neuro
Earlier on in the night, some helpfull plank threw a pint over the decks and mixer. that couldnt of helped matters! Was that why the start of Scott Bond's set had no bass for 20 minutes? I was very worried they wouldn't fix it. It would have ruined the entire night... Scott Bond's opening track was the ultra-rare, original 1999 mix of Orkidea - Unity. This was before the bass cut out, luckily. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2ijhbqhL3w

FuzzY-LogiC
I thought that track 15 was york- the awakening. It was indeed... I just watched a snippet of video recorded on my friends phone next to the DJ booth while Jules played the track

FuzzY-LogiC
Jules had a Cd box with him, but to be honest, I'm not sure he used it... might have been usb stick all the way. I didn't see any use vinyl

FuzzY-LogiC
And one more... a very special moment for me... hearing Push - Strange World being played by the man himself  @Simcut: You, me and Charlie can be spotted to the right at 00:17-00:23 and again 00:57-01:06 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNyO8xbw5fA
milkybarkid
Ha ha! Looks like Jules has got a glowstick hooked into his t-shirt in the first video! Fair play, considering '99 was around the time of the whole glowstick 'drama' he had going.
FuzzY-LogiC
He did! My friend Charlie attached a chain to a glowstick and handed it to Jules during the set... Jules wore it the rest of the night
