  1. Cheers, Nathan! Have just done a quick 'Google' but looks a bit info overload (as ever these days!). Got any recommended links and somewhere where I could read up a bit more please?

Great idea - I'll see if I can edit my post (when I get chance) using all of these submitted by the members to have a master first post with all of these 'Julesisms'
  3. I haven't had too much of a look at what's 'out there' at present, but hoping the good folk on here may be able to offer some insight and advice? Basically time and space have become limited of late and: a) I find myself hopping on the decks much often than I used to and because of that, are struggling to justify the expense of all this equipment being left idle and not that often used. I still absolutely love my music and are very much into mixing! I love making my own mixes and putting together some bits here and there for friends etc. I'm now after a solution that enable the ability to mix just as good but using very little space. Is there anything for example like a USB device that you could use together with software to cue and play tracks and then still retain my mixer to mix through that? Or perhaps a sound card that you could use to play the tracks and mix the tracks through the mixer? Those are just a few of my ideas but really want to put this to you guys for some assistance please? Cheers, Aza

Darren also did a take on one of my old time favourite tunes, Gladiator

Yeah I think it was called Alphaland 'Opera' or something? Gosh that's going back nearly a decade now to 2002, I think?

Also collaborated with Charlotte Church for The Opera Song
  10. I've had to bring this back up since I listened to Trance Nation 1 after reminiscing on the classic days... I cannot believe that he is behind Pulp Victim artist! 'The World '99 (Moonman Remix)' kicked in and I thought what a great track - again. Digged a little deeper and thought the Moonman remix is just Ferry putting his magic on a great track he picked up and I found that's it's him all the way! What are your thoughts on this track? Considering this album was released in 1999 and Ferry was only 26, I cannot believe how many legendary tracks he used on this mix featuring as either producer or remixer... Also, as Tim would no doubtably agree, this album also feauted the 'XCabs – Neuro '99 track
  11. I must say that I have not come across that Tranceformer album - cannot believe I missed it - and it looks awesome! I'd love to check that out... Haven't actually come across that Trouser Enthusiast Hermaphrodite Remix of this track. Just checked it out on YouTube now and it's not bad, Greg's tops it for me all in all, though
  12. The bootleg remix is - in my opinion - by far the best. Great track all in all though
  13. Ditto! I do vaguely recall it being released last year, but this version just seems and feels much more energetic and uplifting - great vocals too (apparently they were re-done especially for this!)
  14. So for those who have checked out the album and still reminisce about the first Trance Nation, do you recall the first track on CD2? It was the Perfecto All Stars remix... The other day I was checking out an old Essential Mix of Eddie Halliwell at Cream Amnesia in 2008 and the last but one track was - at the time - a first exclusive since apparently Greg usually gave/gives his tracks to Eddie and PVD? Anyhow, I came across this and thought what an absolute belter. Anyone heard this and what are your thoughts (?):
  15. Cheers Christian - this will provide me with some fine entertainment over the weekend! Feedback to follow... Thanks
  16. If - and only if, I had to give choose one of those, the 4-Strings is probably the best for me... The original though was just super and Jason yeah, I recall strangely having to mix with that track fading it out... The original also had such a great beat to it as well as the euphoric break down!
  17. Good move - I guess, but tired of Dance and blooming anthems now. Hard to follow a decent station showcasing the latest and decent trancers we all enjoy now...
  18. Sosei was and still is such a fine tune and great to see we're all sharing the same feeling for this track. I remember Jules playing this at a few festivals and the fact that it was a summer tune made it all the more special
  19. Nathan, I've listened to this twice this week - I must say that this is by far your mix of the year so far and really went well. It's not only well mixed, but the track selection and structure shows great character - seriously good stuff. On the whole I enjoyed each and every track, but those which stood out for me were: 01. Nitrous Oxide ft. Aneym - 'Follow You' (Maor Levi Remix) [Anjunabeats] - love Nitrous stuff and Maor Levi has put a great sound to this track 07. Sied Van Riel ft. Nicole McKenna - 'Stealing Time' [Liquid] - great female vox - classic melodic trance 09. Alex Kunnari - 'New Life' (Weirdness Remix) [in Trance We Trust] - what a great track this - prob my highlight of the mix, it very much reminded me of 'The Thrillseekers - Savanna' 11. Bjorn Akesson - 'Painting Pyramids' [Future Sound of Egypt] - great track this, kinda reminded me a little of Egyptian Empire with the pyramind thingy, but superb track this and noticed a few of the big name DJs spinning this too... 14. John O'Callaghan ft. Audrey Gallagher - 'Bring Back The Sun' [subculture] - great way to end the mix - JOC and his collaborations with these ladies works awesomely! Know the effort that goes into putting these mixes together as well as uploading etc. - as with my own stuff - so jut wanted to take time to feedback as I know that this is what makes your mixes all the more better! Cheers
  20. May be too early as I haven't given the tune much of a chance, but that 'Feel It' track from Ferry is not too good at all... Patterson's latest offering is pretty good, though. Never fails to impress of late...
  21. I would say it look's pretty awesome on paper... Extremely well thought out and structured, a fine approach indeed. Moby, Underworld and X-Press2... I'm going to check this out. Do notice your other comment saying it looks great - keen to hear this - this will whack this on the iPod
  22. Super set up there, sublime bits of kit those cdj's. How come you're selling, Marty?
  23. I've been working on a few bits this weekend, got thinking about some of these tracks and thought, ah, I recall a very special project capturing all of these Just want to dig this up for all to give Nathan another shout out on the mixing of these and say thanks again for working on this special project with me! Most, if not all of these tracks are all very dear to me in that I recall either the moment where I first heard Jules play it, or picked it up from one of his CD's/mix sets and gave it a good boshing myself! I think it is with the exception of this track that Jules did not play (I may be wrong?), but instead have Mr Ferry Corsten and Trance Nation 4 to thank for making me aware of this tune... + 1 on that - especially having just listened to the 2nd this afternoon This was a corker. I remember picking this up on a white. It's Dave Lambert - the chap behind the Gladiator track. Indeed, very nice track, plenty of synth and melody! If any of you have not yet checked this out then I strongly urge you to do so
  24. Only really realised and appreciated the beauty of the original after listening to Trance Nation 2 - many of the tracks on there Ferry probably got as gifts - so many fine, great tracks!
