  1. Sadly not my track as such - it was a mashup of mine that Jules was supporting at the time. Was great to hear him play it on this show!
  2. Nice one Fuzzy! Used to really enjoy the occasions when Jules sat in for Tong & showcased his more housey side Really liked this show in particular & track 28 was the icing on the cake for me!
  3. I think a final Essential Mix would be brilliant on paper but sadly I very much doubt it will happen. Even a final show containing some of Jules' all time favourites during his reign at Radio 1 would be wicked but it wouldn't surprise me if it was just a normal show as if he wasn't leaving (typical Radio 1!). Shame because some sort of tribute show or E-Mix would be a great way for him to sign off & it should definately happen considering the years of service he has given.
  4. I'm glad it's not just me that thinks this... I've been feeling 'too old' for Radio 1 for the past couple of years now as I can't really get into any of the daytime music output or relate to the daytime DJs anymore (I'm 26 & don't consider myself 'old' yet lol!). I used to really enjoy Moyles in the morning but I've been rapidly going off him in recent times also. Not to mention that now the majority of the urban/dubstep DJs off 1Xtra seem to be crossing over to R1 in their droves, I can feel an even bigger distance between myself & R1. Jules' show is the only show I listen to regularly week after week & when the curtain falls on that at the end of the month, I probably won't bother with R1 at all afterwards. As mentioned before, time moves on & things change, etc & I feel extremely lucky to have been part of the generation that has experienced Jules' legendary reign on R1 from day one until now... Looks like it'll be internet radio/podcasts for me from now on!

Was listening to the Creamfields 2003 set last week & he came up with this cracker just before the Tried & Tested track; 'Each week we play a track that is phatter than Ricky Gervais, in the shape of our Office favourite!' Class!
  6. Indeed it is mate, probably THE favourite of all time to be honest. I'll have to throw an audio curveball for the next Secret Santa as it looks as if I'm getting too predictable! Well done Detective Paul! Really enjoyed the mix I received from Mr Hardaway - will try & check out the others this weekend
  7. It was indeed - I remember being pretty bemused hearing it at the time! Not sure if it was part of Jules' or Hamilton's set though? BTW the final track in Jules' mix is Nicholson - Yin (Soild Globe Mix) instead of Tiesto - Traffic
  8. Thanks for sorting this one out Fuzzy! Much appreciated & keep up the great work
  9. Cheers for putting this one up - was a great set from what I remember. Looking forward to hearing some of those house tunes in there especially
  10. Thanks for this one, really looking forward to checking this out. I used to love all the Saturday afternoon/evening live shows that Jules did for R1. The summer seasons used to be full of live broadcasts such as this one - that's one of the things I miss the most now R1 doesn't cover dance music on Saturdays... Cheers again!
  11. DJ Download is my favourite. The needle drop player is excellent & overall it's very straight forward to use. Also it's great to be rewarded with a free token every now & then... Beatport would probably follow second, even if it does take AGES to load at times. Mind you, that could also be my bloomin' internet connection!
