  1. I was checking out BBC Three last night, just by coincidence. As I expected, it was plastered with inde/alternative [hippy] rock Just got to catch it at the right moment I recon. Jules with Moyles sounds like a combination though, everyone sees Moyles as the big daddy of the station dont they.
  2. I record my bootlegs live on Virtual DJ as a matter of fact. I slip in loads of cues and loops to get both of the tracks to match each other. Im currently learning Ableton Live 7 though to start doing productions from scratch. I started looking at software earlier this year and I started with Reason 4 ... how it is good for beginners I do not know. Confused the hell out of me!!
  3. Nothing beats an English breakfast
  4. A good little mix, a very nice selection of the top tunes that have been played over the past month or so. I especially like the selection before my track they work really nicely together. I need to get some of your work in a mix of my own sometime soon, been planning to for a while now!
  5. haha, my track gets capital letters ..... got it downlaoding now mate
  6. A really good choice of tunes but what Im not so sure about is how the volume levels of each track vary every now and then. There are some tracks where the bass is fairly strong then the following track doesnt quite keep up at the same level if you see what I mean. Maybe play about with the gain levels slightly or the equalizer on certain tracks? Im hoping its not just my computer which is doing this ...
  7. I remember reading on Myspace about a 'special gift' in one of his newsletters. Pretty cool system hes doing, but I think I will wait until the sharing comences.
  8. ... and to think I was going to make a deposit
  9. All the best for your exams mate. I too break away for a bit (at the end of next week this time), to get my A-Levels sorted until I take on the A2's next year. Going to be fun Im sure many of us wil keep this place lively for you
  10. haha, that has happened to Ronnie before hasnt it? I know that the snooker has witnessed many streakers at the Crucible.
  11. If they dont deliver the goods its only fair they put things right. Running a store like that you think they would ensure everything is at the highest expected standard in the first place. There cant be a great deal of poor tracks on their 'shelves' can there? What sort of scale are we talking about here?
  12. I saw him online yesterday I think it was. He still has a look which is reassuring but thats about as good as it seems to get.
  13. Gangsta, I will keep that in the favourites I think. Im glad everyone is liking the mixes. As soon as I finish each one there is always at least one transition which Im not happy with, but I sit and plan each mix beforehand so after all the time spent on them I just lose the will to record them again and again lol. In this May mix I think the crossfade between 'Crosses' and 'Shipwrecked' is a tad poor but I only remembered about the crossfade of the bass itself at the very last minute so it was a good save if anything.
  14. He is in top form at the moment, a handful of releases from the new album and endless support from other big names. In all honesty I dont like his Global Broadcast too much but his productions pick up that loss for me.
  15. I've always been a fan of the original version ever since I heard it on ISOS2 by Tiesto, I stumbled across this remix just randomly not long ago. I dont think it does the original justice but it fits in nicely with the other tracks of this mix.
  16. Exceeded the limit? Thats not too good is it ... I have them plastered in all sorts of places NEW LINKS POSTED
  17. I've had a good listen through this quite a few times now. The first half of the mix is not my normal choice of interest, but I have taken quite a shine to it. The second half is my traditional style and that works really well too. I have to get that last track from you sometime!!! ... and track 8, its playing now, damn good.
  18. As you already know, I love all of these. The Smack one has been done really well, but you cant go wrong using that at the moment with it being such a hit. I have the other 2 on my phone for while Im out and about, going to upload the new one sometime soon
  19. Yeah I would put the labels with the tracks but I'm not sure myself what they all are. Will take some thorough research for them in future I think. As for the Matt Cerf track in my May mix ... well, I have my contacts!!!
  20. I shall be having a listen to this. I'll share some feedback later
  21. Yes, that is one of the reasons I do them. I am a DJ for a car club in my area and they all like to play the mixes in their cars too. It also gives me something to play while Im in the shower lol
  22. Already its clear to see this board is more active. Like everyone will agree the official boards are dead, in one thread on there Im virtually talking to myself which isnt too good. This really should become the official board. Thanks for the interest though, and the comments. I will gladly hear more if there are any to come.
  23. Yeah Ive finally come here now lol I do like Insight Into Recoil, but only the second half after that quiet section because thats the part that actually sounds right ... the first part Im not so sure about, it was pretty hard to do Good Ascent is my personal favourite at the moment. For that I only had a pure vocal offering of A&B which is from their Tri-State album
  24. I think this is true, it does say at the bottom of his Radio 1 page. Jules doesnt seem to mention these things so much now. He never advertised the fact he was having Above and Beyond with him either. Would have been good to see a set by Armin that wasnt his own stuff, but lets face it, if I was him I would probably go and do the same as he did in the show
