  1. I was Westwood's biggest hatter, and i still hate his music and sayings. But by chance i bumped into him in a Hotel about a year ago and i was shocked at what i truely nice guy he was. Had a sit down and a good chat with him and he even bought me a drink, was a true gent.
  2. Superb looking tracklist this looks matey, will give it a whirl and let you know what i think.
  3. I'll give my opinion fella's: I personally think Dave Pearce is a nice bloke. I also think he has and will always be labelled with the dance anthem cheesy label tag which is a bit sad especially as he does work hard and gives it his best. I think now he has had the chance to play the sort of tunes he likes on his show it has shown that he is alot better and has a lot better taste than most people thought. His mixing isn't the best but its not as bad especially of recent times as some people make out. I'll be the first and admit he's not up there as one of my favourate top 5 Dj's but dont think he deserves the crap he gets. He is just as much of a professional as most Dj's, but a nice, down to earth bloke with it, so give him a break.
  4. I hate to say this as i have always been a big supporter of Jules over the years and have always defended him but i really do think he should sort things out. Some of the mixing on this is terrible as well as some of the tracks, especially the booty he has done of laidback lukes mix of plastic dreams and the 4 minutes/sickness booty, they are simply awful. Also why does he still keep playing Lifter and Super Jupiter? I have been dying for him to play caned and unable again for ages but the mix it is in as well as the mixing spoils it for me, maybe its because i am used to the solid track selection and mixing from the past with it in, i dont know. But the whole mix/track selection is very poor, especially when there is some cracking tracks around at the moment so why play these poor bootlegs. It goes back to what we said a while ago about Jules not supporting certain artists and labels. Take for example Greg Downey, his current tracks are immense especially his new track kingdong, which i suggest you check out if you havn't heard. Its the sort of stuff that was down Jules street of old so why does he choose to ignore? as this goes on more and more it does make you wonder if things have gone on in the background between certain Dj's and producers for them not to support their tracks? or maybe certain Producers think the likes of Jules supporting their tracks is not what they want? I guess we will never know
  5. I wasnt paying attention to the voice!! haha those jugs are amazing, i love the one when she runs around :whistling:
  6. I'll be honest the first time i listened to it i quickly scanned through it and didnt think much to it like you sometimes do with tracks, im sure we have all been quilty of this at one time or another. But after listening to it properly i think it is really good and has the potential to be quite a big tune especially if the right remixer got his hands on it. It does really remind me a bit of a Push/M.i.k.e/Bonzai sound. Firstly i would put more of a beefy bassline to it that has more of a stab to it, something like a greg downy/john o'callaghan bang, i would also loose the string type sound that kicks in at 4.31 and speed it up a little. I think all in all that bar a tweek here and there would be the main of the tune done. Christian im sure you know im not criticising im just giving my take on what i think, it may be that im wrong and what i have said may be to much, whatever keep the good work up and keep me posted matey
  7. I'll let you know what i think squire

Yeah Valentino was definatley a yawning moment! played the odd few tunes though that i have no idea what they are. I though Eddie was Brilliant, went a bit stale part the way through though. Thought O'callaghan was good too, but as you say he was a bit samey half way through his set. But all in all was a real top night, enjoyed the Venue too.
  12. We all f*** a mix up from Time to Time, im sure even Paul etc would admit he has. I suppose its like with anything its about concerntration and practice. I tend to find that you can over concerntrate and worry to much when beatmatching/mixing etc. Best advice is to enjoy it and take a step back sometimes and relax when mixing, i tend to find i am at my best when i do, but thats me.

You need to check Powersweep out as well mate, simply awersome, especially in a club! I am so into that Harder John O'callaghan/Eddie sound, the sound reminds me of Jules old Harder sets in a way from Years back

    1000th post!

Shut it Bitch! haha, dont be cheeky to your master!!!
  15. I have noticed recently Jules has gone alot more Trancy on his shows, which i like but i dont half miss hearing a good old hard banging mix like he used to do. Imo Jules was and is at his best playing harder, thats what made him the Dj he is, buts thats my opinion Oh and before i forget, well done Christian on Jules playing your tracks again, i like both and think you have done a good clean job on them, good to see the talent on our board getting noticed

I listened to that the other day, didnt think much to it, didnt sound as good imo as it did in the club. The other two tunes that he and Eddie played that i remember that really kicked ass as well were Powersweep - Add More Balls (Dj Choose Remix) and Mr Sam vs. Human Resource - Dominator
  18. I heard they were bringing out a John Terry Vodka? Made in England, Bottled in Russia!
  19. Im with Briggsy, although i dont personally rate On Fire that much he has produced a string of top tracks and in regards to him as a Dj he is very good, i would say to anyone you must go and see him as i think he is one of those Dj's until you see him you really dont realise how good he is. I suggest you check out his new track Avalon (Sensation Remix), it is awersome, especially hearing it in a club, reminds me of 90's Old Skool

Mint!!, Just looked for a sample of it, yeah it is definatley that track. It was awersome when he played it at Goodgreef!!
  21. Its definatley the john o'callaghan remix that was played
  22. I was thinking what Classics/Tunes could be made into trance tracks etc and made better with a different take to them and i recon John O'callaghan could make an awersome rework/remix of Run Dmc - Its Like That with his sound, he really is on fire at the moment!! Whats your idea's/views people?
  23. A Knight turns his back on nothing! hahahaa
