Dewi
Is this a 'hard' tune? I've been playing it in my house sets, yet, Jules made it 'tried and tested - hard' :?: Lol, it's playing now..... don't think much of his edit tbh. works much better the original (at lest, I'm pritty shure it's an edit?) Chrissie Brown
I wouldn't call it "Hard" either. :? On last week's show he played the Spencer Collective Remix. Personally l prefer the Karl G Mix of this tune which Jules played tonight.
dormouse
Yeah, bad edit, and personally I play it at the trancier end of my show...

dormouse
I've been asked not to send on my copy of this mix, so I think we should hold back on passing it around too much.

Craig
this is not gettin a release! htfr are lying! i spoke with the distributurs on thurs bout gettin some copies in the shop but they told me warner had put a ban on it! same with the import copies, so the full release is brought forward a week to 3/4/06. dormouse
I knew about the Warner ban, which is why I said about not passing it around.
Aza
so what - karl has not got clearing on the track?
JasonB
Hmm, an interesting thing with bootleg mixes, whne it comes to Major lables owning the original tracks then!, so what actually happened, Warner's got win of like Jules playing it or summat and kept their eye out? Craig
not till original comes out then maybe vinyl can be pressed...well according to sunset distribution anyway!
dormouse
Karl doesn't get clearance for any of his remixes. Warner heard about it through a record company person, and understandably weren't happy. Though he has just completed his first official remix for a record company! And it's very good... bigsteve
Typical HTFR! Like I said, don't believe it til its in your hand http://www.htfr.com/more-info/?catno=MR177043
Max Kane
Fair enough really though, Warner obviosuly feel they have a huge hit on their hands and don't want to lose out on any sales (typical record label ethic). If they're minds are right though they'll sign it to their own label and chuck it out on a remix disc or somethin. Failin that they should just allow Karl to release it and take some royalties, or just allow a white label press to be made. Wouldn't count on any of the above actually happenin though, labels can be reet dodgy if they have no grounding within the dance sector
dormouse
Yeah, can't see Warner allowing any of the above.
JasonB
Well Juno have the Karl G one sider in: http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/209726-01.htm Good on Karl for getting commsie to doa remix!
Wakey
I include this in House sets pitched down. I'm not really surprised that Warner weren't happy, over the years I think we've all learnt what record labels can be like..
bigsteve
I read on Teletext yesterday that the 'official' version of Crazy is set to go to No. 1 this week, purely on download sales. Its something to do with the rules being changed that now allows download sales to count towards the Official Top 40, even if it isn't available in the shops. However, it must be in the shops the following week to count. All very confusing... :?
