Chrissie Brown
Eddie's mix was top notch I'm not a big fan of the music Eddie plays but have to say l was really impressed with this mix. Aza is a big fan so l expect he will beable to ID most of them. He played Guiseppe Ottavianni "Through your eyes" (I think) Bit disappointed with Jules mix. Of late he keeps playing the same tunes at these open air shows. He is overdoing it with "Keep me Running" and could have played a few of his lesser known tunes for a change. Briggsy
Eddie's mix was top notch I'm not a big fan of the music Eddie plays but have to say l was really impressed with this mix. Of late he keeps playing the same tunes at these open air shows. He is overdoing it with "Keep me Running" and could have played a few of his lesser known tunes for a change. yeah, it was also nice to hear Eddie scratching on the radio for a change. Of all the times he's done "guest" mixes on Jules's show, I think he's had to keep them radio friendly and has stayed clear of the scratching. It was nice to hear him doing his natural thing last night I agree with Jules's mix - It was like listening to the Coloursfest mix again, with Team SR - Leaving London, Cherry Whip, and Keep Me Running all being played. I'm not too convinced about that Cherry Whip bootleg - its average at the most. Certainly not worth caning each week. Team SR - Leaving London is also sounding a bit dated now - and I've a feeling we'll hear Keep Me Running caned again for another few months now that he's got the new Fabio Stein mix. Time to drop some of the tunes we keep hearing over and over again on the radio, and replace them with the stuff we hardly get to hear - especially now that the amount of Trance on the show is becoming less and less each week. When we do hear Trance, we don't want to hear what we heard two weeks earlier. As is album is set for a UK release in a few months time, i'd have thought he'd have tried to "push2 some of his other tracks more at those big events - yesterday would have been an ideal chance to play "Alma Fe" or "Without Love" - he's not really given them much support. Certainly nowhere near enough as "Keep Me Running" - its gotta be 2 years or more since we first heard that now? He should dig out a few more of his oldies too - I'd love to hear "Pitchin'" being blasted out on the radio again 8-)
Briggsy
By the way, one of the two tunes that needs ID'ing before "Keep Me Running2 sounded very much like a Randy Katana track - his style is quite unique, so if it wasn't a new Randy Katana track or remix, then i'll eat Bjorn's flip flops

Aza
my flipflops These are certainly evolving. Where I work (RiverIsland - bjorns favourite shop, better than their rivals ) we now sell flip flops with air bubbles They are "Reef" branded as well, so quality! Was tempted to join the bjorn academy with them, but they would've set me back £25 (even with discount)!. Just recording the listen again feature, so gonna try contribute to the T/L especially the Halliwell set (which was amazing - shame Julesy didnt play too well)... bigsteve
I've only listened back to the 1st hour of Jules' show and quite honestly I was appauled by it. The lack of trance, esp for a live set is shocking. I know there's 4 big trancers to come, but like others have said, they are all stuff he's been playing for a while now. Looking forward to hearing Eddie's set, I hear O'Callaghan/Kearney's Exactly is in there too  Were there no other sets from Escape?
Chrissie Brown
On Dave Pearce's Dance Anthems last night he played 30 mins of his live mix from Escape Into the Park which I have to say sounded pretty good. However like Jules the majority of those tunes he was playing have been over played on his recent R1 shows. I really like Tiddey "Get Away" 8-) As far as l know no other sets were broadcasted which seems an utter waste. Don't understand what R1 are playing at.
bigsteve
Just listening to the rest of it now, and the crowd certainly woke up once Cherry Whip got played. Until then, nothing really hit the spot
