Quadrant
I guess this is was the kind of stuff that made Ferry so popular. I haven't stopped playing this, what an amazing mix!

bigsteve
Amazing set this, cheers Tim. The last 2 tunes were totally brilliant, shame the last one cuts off. Think I'll try and trek these 2 down
Quadrant
Yes sir Steve that mix between the last two tracks is really nice, that hint of bass then - bam! - in there. Am I correct in hearing some "phasing" between the hi-hats as it's mixed in :?:
Neuro
Am I correct in hearing some "phasing" between the hi-hats as it's mixed in :?: You mean going into the last track? I think so. It's just the sounds cancelling each other out, sounds pretty cool though.
thirddrive
Ferry could do that easily due to most of his own tunes and remixes being played!

William Orbit - 'Ravel's Pavanne Pour Une Infante Defunte' (Ferry Corsten Remix) [WEA][/b] such a great mix this. very special indeed, if there is anyone that doesn't have this, i'd strongly suggest you bag it. The mixing is incredible but the tunes are sooooooooo damn good. I dont remember this at the time, i remember when Corsten and PVD sat in for jules an hour each but no this. Excellent find Traill. Thanks.
Neuro
Now worries. It's a cracker isn't it and a classic example of Trance in the old days! Such a shame I missed the first half hour...
Moonman
listening back to this it makes you wonder why Ferry Corsten ever changed his style. This was HIS sound and the new electro thing he's trying to do just cant compete. Oh and isn't "Ravel's Pavanne" one of, if not, Ferry's best productions. It sounds so good. I always rated this better than "Barbers Adagio". I remember hearing this played in 'Crasher about the time this was broadcast, i cant remember who played it, but certainly something i'll never forget. Anyway, this is by far the best mix on the Archives board.
Simcut
Stan Francisco is one of the best tunes in that mix
Glenn J
I actually remember listening to this live, so many fantastic tunes. I think this was one of Ferrys first times on radio 1. Just going to download it now!
