Spin Doctor Posted December 31, 2023 Report Posted December 31, 2023 2024 will soon be here. Due to numerous life changes, all positive, I've had very little time to dedicate to clubbing, DJing or muisc in general over the last twelve months. Hopefully this will change next year. I did however make the long trip to Sheffiled to see Scott Bond at his Rebooted promotion two nights ago. Some great classisc from him and Craig Connelly; hearing GTR - Mistral was a particular highlight. It's a little dissapointing to see the 2023 thread still so high up in Open Chat, but sadly understandable. Still, the board lives! I hope you are all keeping well and looking after yourselves and family. Thanks to all the regulars who keep this place ticking over. 1
Aza Posted December 31, 2023 Report Posted December 31, 2023 Good to hear from you, Spin Doctor. Think a lot of us (oneself included) become victim of life changes, think there's still a handful of veterans that venture back here now & again, still true for the cause. Great account of your recent ventures; I recall Craig Connelly joining up here to share his work way back back & Jules would spin that stuff on his show. Speaking of Scott Bond; that legendary track, 3rd Earth, features on a mix I've just put together here - which I've recently recorded to see the year out with: http://www.judgejulesarchive.co.uk/archives/board/index.php?/topic/18535-revolution-mixed-by-aza-end-of-2023-special/ (have had to paste the URL as it appears few things are broke with the site at the mo, also haven't even been able to report it to Tim as that process isn't working) Have found myself swaying back to my roots with Trance lately, the scene, especially on the production/releases front seems pretty good lately. All the best for next year 1
JasonB Posted May 18, 2024 Report Posted May 18, 2024 I have given up on new music pretty much and pursuing any djing at all, never really gone anywhere and never will at this point,I bought the xdj rx2 about 5 years ago and have had fun with it but have no interest now. I did end up being a warm up on a night the plump djs headlined a few years ago but nothing else happened after that, and funnily now the venue has announced they are closing end of this year (poor buisness sense ultimately in my books, buy anyways) seems daft I finally bought a pair of cdj2000 nexus's too recently. At least i can play my old cd albums, singles and cdrs again though. Everyones a dj these days and its all down to ass kissin and play for free over being any good. No point trying anymore.
tombradshaw Posted July 28, 2024 Report Posted July 28, 2024 Love this forum and have done for many years, thank you for creating it! You have, no idea how much enjoy this website has given me over the years! I'm a massive fan of Judge Jules as you may of gathered hence why I'm here! Really enjoying looking back and listening to Jules sets from years gone by, so many incredible memories! He is a massive inspiration for me and one of many reasons why I do what I do today! Try to upload to the forum as regularly as possible as I have vast archive of trance, and I'm a passionate dj to! I actually recently co founded/launched a global website, platform dedicated to all things Trance, called Hello Trance, I'm sure I posted about at some point on this forum. Anyhow it's awesome to see this website still alive after all these years, and here's to many more to come!
