Quote
bigsteve Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Totally, another remake of a classic that should be well left alone Quote
Max Kane Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 All you ever need of this track is the Original 3n1 mix & the Marco V remix, anything else just isn't worth bothering with Quote
Briggsy Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 All you ever need of this track is the Original 3n1 mix & the Marco V remix, anything else just isn't worth bothering with Spot on! Leave the fecker alone now! From day one i've always said that if a classic can't be beaten, then it should be left well alone. It takes a brave man to remix a tune that everyone loves - and it could make or break a career. Do a top job on it, and everyone will love you. Do a s*** job, and you'll be flamed forever! Tall Paul is the last person that should remix a classic anyway. That guy never knows what he wants to play as a DJ, let alone as a producer. I reckon he turns up to his gigs and thinks "hmmm, what shall I play tonight - a bit of Trance, a bit of that bouncy gash House that I play, or Electro because Mixmag said its cool this year?...." He seems to have no real musical identity, exactly as you put it he never knows what he's gona play Quote
Bjorn Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Have to agree with al lthe comments o nhere about this.. Wouldn't mind hearing the Tall Paul Remix tho as i havn't yet! Quote
Craig Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 sorry lads but i like the tall paul mix!! Quote
JasonB Posted September 27, 2006 Author Posted September 27, 2006 My faves are the Nalin & kane and John 00 Fleming mixes, why this track needs a release with a new mix or two what seems every two years is beyond me. Quote
Tremor Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 original 3 n 1 all the way, quite like the nalin and kane mix for a more chilled version and Marco V's was a decent remix but thats definitely enough Quote
Simcut Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 You wait, Sean Tyas will be doing it next, LOL! Quote
Max Kane Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 You wait, Sean Tyas will be doing it next, LOL! He's practically remixed every other record out this year so wouldn't put it past him Quote
Simcut Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 You wait, he'll remix Scatman John and Rednex - Cotton Eye Joe.... mind you he wouldnt be desecrating classics in those 2 instances, would he Quote
Briggsy Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 You wait, Sean Tyas will be doing it next, LOL! Yeah too right. I think Sean Tyas and Sander Van Doorn must live in a studio. You'd have thought that after all those tunes they've knocked out, they'd be able to work out how to produce a new sound now  Quote
Max Kane Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 I think that the level of success they've had allows them to take on the 'if it ain't broke...' approach, Tyas' work doesn;t really do anything for me its all a bit too samey, SvD stuff on the otherhand i do like. Quote
Craig Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 honestly the tall paul mix aint half bad.. Quote
JasonB Posted October 16, 2006 Author Posted October 16, 2006 Its not that good either really imo! And its on bloody AATW, theyve been issting on it for a while I think. Mixes stand as: 1. Raul Rincon Remix 2. Tall Paul Remix 3. Soul Seekerz Remix 4. K-Klass Remix 5. Kenny Hayes Remix 6. Michael Woods Remix 7. Three N One Remix So lets chuck out two old mixes and get 6 highly unneeded new ones done, although Rincons un is quite nyce. Quote
Bjorn Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 both the rincon & tall paul mixes are wikked, im addicted to em - hard to sort of let go as i do disagree on remixing the tune but they are good mixes! Quote
Wakey Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 three n one all the way for me. I hate it when they remix classic tunes, such a regular occurence these days tho... Quote
Chrissie Brown Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 I was horrified when l first heard the remixes but over time they have grown on me so l have to confess that l'm liking them. However the original will always be special. Quote
Simcut Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 what the f***? more remixes.....suprised sean tyas hasnt remixed it yet... lol Quote
