Bogus Sites

Right after feeling a little p!ssed off with continuous spam, ive managed to find out the scam behind it.

I do not know how my email address got into this, but this is the site from email scam I got...

(clicking wont hurt, just make sure you dont enter your email...)

http://researchstart.com/

that site was from one email, with a different domain.

now another email I received (from a different domain) clicking their domain to check the site out equals this site...

http://stretchmotion.com/

Both have exactly the same page (looking extremely bogus)... How stupid do they think we are.... clearly following this

"WE ARE SORRY TO SEE YOU GO. PLEASE ENTER YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS BELOW.

YOUR ADDRESS WILL BE PROMPTLY REMOVED FROM OUR MAILING WITHIN 72 HOURS!"

and it is obvious you will not be removed, but added to a list of marketing scams! WARNING to you GUYS - stay away from this kind of scam & never enter your email, I am sure you are wise enough everyone, but these are the TW@s behind it! They have a "privacy policy" on that page, but o look... It doesnt work!!!

What I have knivingly (dont know it that a word) is put in their hosts email, which I managed to get loading up their email in junk mode, thus hotmail disabled the entire message, but lets you see the sender ID. I pasted their address into the field and submiited, look what I got afterwards...

Parting is such sweet sorrow...

...but to ease the pain, please accept these gifts for your time and trouble.

..... Free gasoline for a year or free vacation cruise for two! Yeh AS IF - POFFFFFFFFFFF!

Coincidentally looking for their domains in google dont work? I tried typing "site:....their site" which usualy checks the sites listing in the crawler and directory and all that! No result!

My question is how do I report these sites to sort em out!!!??

Another thing about spam aswell Aza is quite often they will mask their address with other people's so that it looks as if someone else is sending the spam.

I know for a fact that email addresses of mine are being used to send out spam. I own a few domain names and when I check the email of these I get bounce-backs where mail can't be delivered. I also get replies saying that my message is in quarantine etc to fight spam. I never send any of these messages and I recon I get about 25+ bounce backs a day.

f***ing frustrating and nothing I can do about it.

We had this spamming problem on here actually, the main inbox filling up daily with loads of bouncebacks and even people emailing us saying "Do not ever send me this again" etc. There is a way to eliminate this mate but you'll have to ask KR about it as he sorted it out. It's perfect now.

Not sure about reporting the domain, although I imagine you could do a WHOIS name check and find out who is their host.

Of course, you'd never dream of signing their own email up to their own spam...... -_-

Might have to have a chat with KR about that because it's beginning to do my head in the amount of bounce-backs I get.

I've set up some filters in Outlook to direct most of them to deleted items or delete them from server but it's still a right pain.
