Aza
A special web exclusive mix (mainly for my website - once it is finished). All my mixes to date fit on a cd - 80 mins, but this is a 2 hour set special. The title is derived from the effects of optical illusions - look one way, see one image; look another, see another image. This mix tries to incorporate a wide range of tracks and structrue them in the a logical manner. I hope you enjoy it - please leave me feedback I contemplated redoing this mix because there is one or two minor slips, but that adds to the live feeling and this isnt mixed like a mix cd would be 01. Ciaran Campbell - Nutt Stuff (Aza Original Mix Edit) [Juicy Too] 02. Gleave - Fire Devil (Aza Original Mix Edit) [Detox] 03. Tom Snare - Philosophy (Phunk Mob Remix) [Apollo] 04. Criss Source - Hugs n Kisses [Vendetta] 05. Oxia - Domino [Kompackt Extra] 06. Marcel Woods - Yellin @ the Neighbours [High Contrast] 07. Moonman
I contemplated redoing this mix because there is one or two minor slips, but that adds to the live feeling and this isnt mixed like a mix cd would be i get this all the time. At the end of the day though, i mix my Mastermixes completely live. What you hear on mine is what you'd hear me play in a bar/club, and the mixing is as it is. I much prefer it this way, it's a better representation of you as a DJ. I dont wanna hear perfectly mixed sets, the odd slip here and there adds to the human error element. Besides i think studio mixes dont seem to have as much character. Well done Aza, a nice mix if i do say so. I've just added a mastermix too, check it
Aza
Yeh exactly my thoughts too dude I have in the past made demos which sound like mix cds, not mix sets. For example, I know Eddie Halliwell is not too keen on mix cds; there are dj's who mix [mix] cd's and there are dj's who play sets. This is the latter and I deffo prefer it Thanks for listening and for all those comments received thus far; Jase, Quadders & Munki
