Has anyone got any ideas on how to repair scratched vinyl,i took my decks round to my mates last bank holiday and we all know whats it`s like when you`re pissed,i don`t think one record was in the right sleeve and a few of them have scratches on. cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'd go and take the afternoon off and dedicate some hours on the vinyl mate, if they're really bad give them a nice bath (water only) and use new clean cloths which don't shed hairs - you'd be surprised how much sound you can recover. Marty Mayes Posted June 15, 2007 Report Share Posted June 15, 2007 cleaning records distilled water & triple distilled vodka mix a little of both in a bowl and dip in a shaving brush rub the shaving brush in a circle motion around the record then wipe with a static cloth..
