Hello ladies and gents!

My CD player in my car has died on me, every CD comes up with a "TOC Error" :(

Please can you recommend me a decent cd player that supports mp3s and that is ranged between £40-£60.

Prefer one with a button rather than a dial for volume etc...

Thanks guys.

This ain't much help because I haven't looked at the market mate, but I have a sony rx-3300, had it for easily 3 years, heavy use, mp3, button volume and still going good. I'd recommend a Sony :)

i have a pioneer one. Its served me so well. Never had any probs with it, also had a kenwood before it got nicked. Again, solid player.

A "TOC Error" is short for Table of Contents, which means your CD player cannot read the bit nearest the centre hole of your CD, which has all the information about track marks, names, etc. - which effectively means the laser is out of kilter or damaged. If it can't read the TOC on a CD, it doesn't know what to play, or how long for, so it will keep ticking inside trying to read it until you manually stop it.

Useless info really but the long and short of it is, I hope you find a new CD player! :)
