More iPod help please

I've finally got round to buying a 4GB one, which should be plenty of space, but I'm having probs trying to import CD's onto it. I'm playing the CD through iTunes and can import it fine, but when I hear it back through the iPod, there's a small silence between each track. Its not even a second, but its annoying when listening to a mix. Can anyone help?

How did you sort this Steve, cos most of my mixes I leave as 1 long long track for that very reason!

In iTunes you have to highlight all the tracks in a mix, and go to Advanced from the top menu and select Join CD Tracks. It then puts a large bracket around the track titles and it comes out as you want it. There are no track markers tho, so you can't go to a position in the mix easily, but the skip option works.
