Neuro Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 Nice one Tom. I'm going to use this during my essay blitz tomorrow.... on quietly of course Thanks for the clear tracklisting too, not a missing remixer in sight either - always makes me happy when people post like that!
Aza Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Me 3 Nice flowing set there I can already see
Max Kane Posted October 9, 2007 Author Report Posted October 9, 2007 Thanks people, as always thoughts & comments are most welcome
Chrissie Brown Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Really enjoyed most of this mix of yours Tom, however as l hadn't heard many of these tunes before l ending up listening to the mix twice (whilst doing a big pile of ironing) and liked most of the tunes from 44 mins in. As the mix flowed so well l couldn't really fathom out where a tune started and finished so for ID purposes it would have been handy to have had a cue list. Hope you understand what l'm going on about. The ones l liked the most were played at the following times; 44 mins 49 mins 56 mins 1.22 mins Love All The Pain Away 1.48 mins Sound of Sunday Also really like Pryda "Muranyi" which l've heard many times before. Pryda "Armed" is a great tune too.
Max Kane Posted October 10, 2007 Author Report Posted October 10, 2007 Thanks for taking the time to listen Chrissie, I'll whack up a very rough cue sheet for all the savour shortly
Neuro Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 As the mix flowed so well l couldn't really fathom out where a tune started and finished Possibly the best compliment anybody can give any DJ. The only time in my life I have ever been able to say that about a club night was about John Digweed playing at Foundation in Newcastle a few years ago: I must have danced away for 2 hours on the trot and to this day I could not tell you whether he played 10 tracks or 100. Thoroughly danceable, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Thoroughly danceable, and thoroughly enjoyable. High praise indeed, many thanks again Chrissie. Best set I've ever been present for in terms of mixing was Sasha back at Gods in Jan 2004. His structure was immense, building & building things right the way thru. After seemingly 20mins of the same looping & grinding of a deep building prog track he dropped in Saints & Sinners 'Pushing Too Hard' (Futureshock Remix) it totally blew the place apart
JasonB Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 Phoney Ceromoney is bloodey amazing baaaambaaataaa! on yo asses! summat I be buying now along with Ni Inbetween! 9/10 Smooth as quality building stuff. And I still not convinced by muriyani its 3/5 tyep track for me really.

And I still not convinced by muriyani its 3/5 tyep track for me really. Glad you enjoyed it mate, the remix of 'Phoney Ceremony' is special, loving the Fine Taste stuff right now. Considering how cheesy the vocal is I actually think it adds to the track
JasonB Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 Its the best use of those vocals Ive heard yet! betters Bassheads and Carpe Diem tracks!
Max Kane Posted October 11, 2007 Author Report Posted October 11, 2007 Its the best use of those vocals Ive heard yet! betters Bassheads and Carpe Diem tracks! Can't say I've heard either of those tracks mate, but then your all encompassing knowledge of house music is far superior
Moonman Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 NOOOOOOOOOOOO! The Bassheads tracks is amazing, especially if you have a copy which had the Pink Floyd sample still in it! (It was taken out as they couldnt clear it for release)
JasonB Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 So the pink floyd bit was redone for release? the version I has has pink floyd bittage. I still stand by what i sed above! as much as I love t bassheads track i bloodey i does.
