Uberduck Posted December 15, 2007 Report Share Posted December 15, 2007 Do you seriously think the likes of Anne Savage and Kym Ayres would be such crowd pullers if they didn't look like they do? When Savage was at the forefront of Hard House back in the early noughties her mixing was shocking . She was wicked at chopping but that's it. Lisa Lashes doesn't look too good but she was much better technically than Savage. Then there were the likes of Lisa Pinup, Charlotte Birch, Lisa Loud etc. I'm not saying these chicks are stunners but they aren't exactly munters. Kym Ayres at Slinky was playing some outrageous tracks. Sounded like they should be featured on 'Clubland Extreme Hardcore' or similar audio junk. Amber D too. Saw her at playing the Tidy room at Gods B'mouth. Nothing special DJ wise. Oh, and Tylor Leigh. Never seen her but again, she's hardly repulsive. HOWEVER, when i go out, i want to hear good music mixed well, not this sad excuse for a porn show. Red Shoe Diaries is more hardcore than that display. I'm sorry but this sort of thing pisses me off - not girls kissing each other, i'm all for it, but promoters booking these people just because of the depths they are prepared to stoop too.
