Quadrant Posted April 3, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 3, 2008 Here is another one, called the Hermann Grid (not sure why, but I bet he was German. (Sir Burien, any ideas??)) All the circular spots at the intersections are actually white, but unless you look at them directly they will appear grey or black "because of the inhibitory response which occurs as a result of the increased dark surround". Well it isn't... the squares are actually the same colour! Look again! Still not convinced? This grey strips prove it.
