Yes, that is one of the reasons I do them. I am a DJ for a car club in my area and they all like to play the mixes in their cars too. It also gives me something to play while Im in the shower lol

It'd be good to put some labels on your future mixes - makes it easier for me to hunt down online or on discogs if I like the tunes! May Mix was excellent by the way, love that John O'Callaghan remix.

I've always been a fan of the original version ever since I heard it on ISOS2 by Tiesto, I stumbled across this remix just randomly not long ago. I dont think it does the original justice but it fits in nicely with the other tracks of this mix.

Im glad everyone is liking the mixes. As soon as I finish each one there is always at least one transition which Im not happy with, but I sit and plan each mix beforehand so after all the time spent on them I just lose the will to record them again and again lol. In this May mix I think the crossfade between 'Crosses' and 'Shipwrecked' is a tad poor but I only remembered about the crossfade of the bass itself at the very last minute so it was a good save if anything.

My 'June 2008' mix has now been recorded and uploaded to the top of this thread. Make sure to have a listen and give any feedback that you come up with.

I have tried a different transition/crossfade technique for the tracks in the middle of the mix to see how it goes compared to what I normally do (I normally crossfade the bass immediatly when I feel it is the appropriate moment to reduce any sign of errors). I think the transitions for these middle tracks work very well but I dont know if I can pull it off all the time. See what you think (if any of it makes sense), and enjoy ...

Listened to June Mix.

Transitions are nice but maybe not long enough like tracks together could go a bit longer at some points eg when Lifter and Allure come in.

For me this mix lacked some energy/oomph which has nowt to do with it being mellow at some points or owt erm..

8/10 though

Fair game Jason.

It was a slightly mellow mix overall ... I decided to dive into a slightly different style Ive never really paid attention to before but I did end up swaying about dfferent sounds as it went along. What Im pleased with most is that there are no mistakes that really stand out, the only areas that could have attention are what you mentioned above so its somthing to consider in future.

Just added my August Mix to the list, this is the one used on Jason B's Xperience Radio show. I also noticed the July Mix was missing so thats in there too. I get the feeling these mixes would have more attention if uploaded seperatly but I like to keep them all wrapped up in one box

Like the idea of keeping everything wrapped up in a box, however, I would suggest for ease of us end users is to put the latest mix at the top of the thread (reverse chronological) as I think the latest mix at the top of your thread works best.

That being said though, you will have a shed load of posts and feedback for different mixes, which could be all over the place - e.g. someone may download an early mix, post feedback a little after feedback on your latest, which, if they are useful comments can be a bit difficult to recall and take on board.

IMO - some of the gents on here do it with their radio shows, but I think (for me anyhow), each mix should have it's own thread

I think with that being said Aza, I will probably do a bit of both. I've noticed the mixes are downloaded much more when posted individually but its also good to have them all in one place just so people can come back at any time. This thread acts like an archive of my own mixes really, just as this site is an archive of Jules' mixes
