Neuro Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Haven't started a thread for a while, so thought this one might get some fingers typing. Not having Setanta is proving to be a burden for about 50 million of us wanting to watch the match, but, I have to say, I'm not too fussed these days. I see Theo has fired one in just before half time, but it'll be 1-1 I think! Scotland should win their tie over Iceland but I also fear for Northern Ireland! Good luck guys if you are from there and are following that tonight instead of the England match!
Moonman Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 i'd never have had Walcott down for a hat trick. Pretty impressive display all round really. Croatia are not an easy side to break down either. They have a strong frontline too. Now watch England struggle against lesser teams.
Briggsy Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Its only because they've been under pressure from the media this week. It'l be back to normal with the usual drivel when we have the next match.
Quadrant Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Great match but could watch it cos it was on some Irish pay-per-view channel. Bollocks!
Briggsy Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Great match but could watch it cos it was on some Irish pay-per-view channel. Bollocks! You mean that Sultana channel?
Max Kane Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 It is a bit of a p*** take having the live match AND the highlights exclusive to Setanta. Still even Gordon Brown has commented that something has to be done, viewing figures are way down & though in principle the idea of pay per view is the same when it's on Sky, at least their coverage is exceptional, Setanta's coverage is rubbish
Judge Mental Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 I was flicking between the Scotland and England games on Setanta
Briggsy Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Scotland? Do they have a football team now then?

Quadrant Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 Anyone remember England playing San Marino about 15 years ago, and the little villagers scored within 13 seconds or something?
Simcut Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 Anyone remember England playing San Marino about 15 years ago, and the little villagers scored within 13 seconds or something? Yeah.... *shudder*
Briggsy Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 Scotland? Do they have a football team now then? Well on form over the last 3 years, I think England are currently ranked 1394th in the world
