Judge Mental
Having a lazy day and watching some iPlayer stuff, stumbled across this! http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00dz...oes_at_the_BBC/ Compilation of 1970s BBC performances on shows from The Old Grey Whistle Test to Sight and Sound by such luminaries of the electric guitar as Carlos Santana, Mark Knopfler, The Edge and Peter Green, as well as acoustic masters like John Martyn, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn and Paco Pena. Good stuff on a Saturday afternoon!

Max Kane
I watched a similar kind of thing last night on BBC2 with Alan Yentob, called 'The History of the Guitar'. I missed the opening two episodes but watched parts of the third one last night. Was an excellent programme which described the ways in which guitar music has chnaged & evolved & had some excellent interviews with several 'pioneers'

Quadrant
I admire anyone who can play the guitar, but I generally don't find it appealing unless I'm busking.
