Number2Fan Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 Nice post. Mine wouldn't be better I don't think, I dunno what's on the ministry one this time round but i am slightly out of touch with tunes these days. I know I'd have had Let the bass kick on it, and Arnej -they always come back and cloud surfing.
Max Kane Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 I'll be doing a 'Year Mix' for my show during the final broadcast of 2008 on December 22nd, I haven't really thought it through yet though

Max Kane Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 Cool. Can we hear it? Sure can, it'll be broadcast on my show 'The Progressive Showcase' on Monday December 22nd on http://www.sense.fm. I haven't started work on it yet though as I still have four shows prior to that
Gregg Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 I'm well out of touch with tunes this year, but i still think i could do better than anything Ministry arbitrarily mix for an album.
bigsteve Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 I'm well out of touch with tunes this year, Same here, I couldn't name a tune that was released since April. Unfortunately, however good a TL we could come up with, it wouldn't sell. You need to have a good number of chart singles in there from the likes of Basshunter, Van Dahl, etc to sell enough copies to make it worthwhile.
JasonB Posted October 30, 2008 Author Report Posted October 30, 2008 Only a bit of fun though you could chuck scooter on iti fyou want!what tracks you wack on two cd's be your choice!
Number2Fan Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 Or that DONKING one, I knocked up a pretty cool Halloween mix even if I do say so myself. Not TOO much mixing involved tbf but some brilliant tunes. One is a record from my childhood(in 70's) where Greensleeves is played on childrens toys with additional monster growling sounds. I really like it, the kids think it's the Dogs B's. Yes I am sad! I like the way I mix this stranglers tune into Ghostbusters! Youtube Video -> Good video! You don't get that on any Ministry album!
simonross46 Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 That video scares me ... it doesnt help that I've just sat here watching the 'Saw' movies either.
bigsteve Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 Only a bit of fun though Sorry, I had a bad day yesterday I was on a mission to rubbish anything that came my way. Apologies.
simonross46 Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 I'd throw in some Flip and Fill, Cascada, Ultrabeat, Hixxy, Scooter ... the list is endless
JasonB Posted October 31, 2008 Author Report Posted October 31, 2008 Saw V...now I saw that last saturday, twas very good! No worries Steve, seems everyones avodingt his thread anyway, didnt creat the disccusion I'd hoped for...ah well!
Number2Fan Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 Sorry, I had a bad day yesterday I was on a mission to rubbish anything that came my way. Apologies. PMT?
simonross46 Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 I'm up to Saw 3 now, started to watch it last night but I was eating at the same time and didn't want to be put off my sandwich! One thing I noticed was that the tune: 'Matthew Dekay - Let The Game Begin' uses the quote 'Let The Game Begin' from the Saw films. I was amazed when I realised.
bigsteve Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 No, I said it was a bad day, not a whole WEEK
Number2Fan Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 We're gonna turn off the lights and watch The american werewolf in london in a mo. For Halloween. Altho Poltergiest is on TCM so I might change my mind. Both scarey IMO. SCAREY not GOREY like Saw. Didn't like that. There is nothing else scarey on telly tonight it's bloody stupid!
C.D.Santos Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 There is nothing else scarey on telly tonight it's bloody stupid! Brokeback mountain was on i beleive, nothing beats that on the scare meter
Number2Fan Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 AND definitely that current Deadmau5 tune. I love that! Have to say Jason I might buy your Ministry annual!
simonross46 Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Yeah I would buy it too, I expect to see it in shops and under my tree at Christmas!
