easily since its not full tracks its bits all mashed together they are basically two 80 minute megamixes, same concept as the previous couple of years Year Mixes, and no doubt will be broadcasted on ASOTanyhows

lol A double CD release, mixed by Armin. He releases it every year, including a huge amount of tunes which you get to hear only about 90 seconds of each. Then between Xmas and New year, Armin's regular ASOT radio show broadcasts effectively what is on the CD.

He's been doing them for a while now, it started off as simply a means of ending the year off on ASOT & I personally think that was a great idea. The 2004 Year Mix is stunning, abolsute quality but then it seems that someone (maybe Armin, maybe a money man) had the idea of selling it on CD. I have no idea who would want to buy it when it's obviously going to available for download after the broadcast anyway

Interested in this as I've not heard much new trance this year. Was going off Armin's sound more and more toward the end of last year though.

Personally, the 200th ASOT episode special is my favourite of the year mixes, but that's a mix to celebrate 4 years of ASOT, rather than a single year (give or take the odd 'real' classic like Love Stimulation and Tenshi dropped in!).

Not gonna buy the CD though when it'll be broadcast around New Year.

I was very fond of Armin's 300th Episode(s) of ASOT ... he did it in two seperate episodes, the first being classics and the second being like 7 hours of live sets from different DJ's. After that my attention to the show gradually fell.
