Aza Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 Fifa 2006 gets released at the end of the week, and does look very promising and very much improved. Recently got the overall impression that the pro evo releases win hands down, but this release of fifa sees an improvement. Pro Evo 5, has got the new ronaldinho trick (where he flicks the ball in and out with his foot) and loads other new stuff aswell as proper teams and names this time (i think). This is released end of next month... Any of you guys gonna purchase one, if so what would you go for?
KR Tech Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Pro Evo 5, no question about that. It's out beginning of next month and it definitely the best of the two.
Simcut Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Pro Evo yes, FIFA game is bloody good too mind
Bjorn Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 footy games are poo - my housemate bought the new golf game the other day where u actually swing with a mini club wearing these special gloves, quality game!
Aza Posted October 2, 2005 Author Report Posted October 2, 2005 footy games are poo Have to say mate - you are chatting SH!T Only joking fella, footy games rock!!! So do fighting games i.e Tekken & racing i.e Gran Turismo!!!
Neuro Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Have to agree with Aza though, if you have a quality footy game there's nothing better esep with a few mates to rival your adopted teams Played Fifa all the time until I got my hands on Pro Evo 4, and I've never looked back, miles better and very realistic. Just don't select the ref as Kazuti Ito cos he dishes out the cards as if it's Christmas.
Stuart F Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Haha! My brother just bought FIFA 2006 and he was showing me you can play a retro version of the first ever FIFA. FIFA international soccer it was called and was released in about 93/94. I remember having it for the SNES. It wasn't even the real players as well, it was just made up names like Jock McCall or Berti Walker. At the time, it was ahead of its time but now you have to have a laugh when you see it compared to todays FIFA games. Also just remembered 'Striker' for the SNES. Used to play that all the time!
Neuro Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 I remember something like "Gazza's Goals" for the ZX Spectrum back in the day... actually, thats a very long time ago. I think the tape always crashed through loading in the end so we chucked it.
hippy dave Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 the only football game that ever mattered
Bjorn Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 the only football game that ever mattered you are DAMN right!! i spent hours at my mates playing this on the amega, fecking brilliant game, brilliant!!!
Neuro Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 They were well funny, there was one footie game on the Sega Megadrive I remember playing at a mates house, when you were booked the ref would run to you but you could just lead him all around the pitch chasing you, and when you scored a goal this picture would just be displayed of Maldini or somone pointing to the crowd, and the score underneath. so simple, so brilliant
Aza Posted October 7, 2005 Author Report Posted October 7, 2005 Speaking of "Retro" - my best game was Sensible Soccer
Noff Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 ooo yea Sensi ruled them all man, do u remember the names of players ...Ryan Goggs & and Eric Contona
Neuro Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 In case anyone's still in limbo about which to get, I tried Fifa 2006 today despite some nice touches it still doesn't touch Pro Evo 4 (or 5 in fact, there's a demo flying around which is quite good).
Quadrant Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 Coming out October 21st for the PS2 and a week later for PC.
