Briggsy
no comment. On a serious note, what do you honestly think of this new law mate - in favour, or another PC fad which highlights even more how crazy this country has become? Its not like anyone in the force knows who you are on here

Briggsy
Am I reading right? You can't take a photo of any police officer? No, because the new law says your a terrorist if you take a photo of a police officer.

What another f***ing stupid law! Not really, it's been law in many other countries for a long time, and in fact my Father was almost beaten to death by a foreign copper after he kept trying to photograph one. bit of a language barrier there though. Anyway, I agree with anything that protects the police, they already put them selves in danger everyday to help us live in a better world. I have a million photos of moonman on my harddrive though and even his phone number! LOLOL Who said it was a stupid law, I don't think many laws are stupid, in fact I think some of the so called stupid laws are just ones made up by the media because printing ACTUAL news doesn't sell papers! Moonman
On a serious note, what do you honestly think of this new law mate - in favour, or another PC fad which highlights even more how crazy this country has become? Its not like anyone in the force knows who you are on here It all comes down to identity doesnt it. Think about it, if you arrest someone when you get back to custody they will know your name anyway, and they know what you look like. Passing colleagues call you by your name and its on their custody sheet. Will it make a difference? Admittedly i'm not that bothered people knowing my name. I always think, if someone wants to know who you are, they can do it quite simply. Also, most forces are now bringing out epaulettes which not only have your collar number on it, but also your surname! So it begs the question, why the law? I dont know exactly, but i welcome new pieces of legislation, every little helps and all that. As for the legislation itself, well i'm not saying if its right or wrong, but as a regular bobby, i dont have any dealings with Terrorism/ists. I just go to where i'm told, make decisions and gather evidence and put folk in front of a judge. I dont judge anyone, i only see when an offence has been comitted.
